OptiScaler upscaling doesn't increase my FPS without Frame Generation

I don't seem to get any FPS improvement from upscaling alone.

I keep Frame Generation (FG) disabled because I don't want the additional input lag. I only want to use upscaling, similar to using FSR directly in the game's settings or AMD Radeon Super Resolution (RSR) through Adrenalin.

However, when I use OptiScaler upscaling, my FPS stays basically the same. I only get a noticeable performance increase when I enable Frame Generation.

For comparison, using the game's native FSR or AMD RSR does increase my FPS as expected.

Specs / tests:

GPU: AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT

CPU: Ryzen 7 9800X3D

Resolution: 4K

Games tested: Palworld and Witchfire

OptiScaler versions: 0.9.5-pre1 (20260803) and 0.9.4 Final

Frame Generation: Disabled

Tested FSR through OptiScaler

For a suspected collateral ligament injury of the finger, what is the usual timeline in your experience?

Age: 32 Height: 165 cm (5'5") Weight: 70 kg Sex: Male Medications: None Smoking status: Non-smoker Previous and current medical issues: None relevant Duration and location of complaint: 1 week. Right index finger MCP joint, suspected radial collateral ligament injury.

How long does it typically take to:

  • See a hand surgeon?
  • Get the MRI report?
  • Have the follow-up appointment?
  • Decide whether surgery is needed?

In my case, it took about 1 week to see a hand surgeon. The MRI report takes 4 days, and the follow-up appointment is another week later. I tried to get an earlier answer before the MRI report was ready, but the surgeon said he would only review the MRI after the official report was available.

Is this a typical timeline, or is my case taking longer than usual?

Can I print pretty much anything on the Bambu Lab A1 Mini as long as I split the model into smaller parts?

I'm thinking about buying an A1 Mini, but I'm concerned about the smaller build volume.

Is it fair to say that I can print almost any model by cutting it into smaller pieces (using Bambu Studio or another tool), printing the parts separately, and gluing them together afterward?

Are there any major downsides or types of models where this approach doesn't work well?

TV panel is sagging and rubbing against the upper shelf

I have a custom-built TV panel that rotates/swivels. Recently I noticed that the gap between the TV panel and the shelf above has become much smaller on the right side. The panel now rubs against the upper shelf and sometimes gets stuck when I try to rotate it. I'm not sure where the problem is coming from: Is the vertical panel bending from the TV's weight? Is the upper shelf sagging? Could the mounting hardware be loosening? Or is the whole structure twisting over time? The TV has been installed for quite a while and this issue seems to have developed gradually. Based on these photos, what do you think is the most likely cause, and what should I inspect first? Any suggestions are appreciated.
