Check On Them No Matter What

I got home 4 nights ago, and my 17year daughter was suddenly talkative. 20 min in she was confessing all the things that was causing her severe anxiety from body image issues to relationships. I have never ever seen her so distressed. On the outside the kids sometimes "look" okay but we never know. I am so glad I didn't pick that overtime shift. We talked for hours and I can sense the relief in her. That said it's not over for her. I never liked saying kids are "okay" and this is why for me. I just hope so. Dad's don't let good grades and "not typical troublemaker" stop you from doing pulse checks.

Chase & Amex Blacklist | Bankruptcy

Hey Folks,

I have loads of debt but I only have $500 Chase credit card and Amex balance... I know all creditors get informed of your bankruptcy but does a bankruptcy with a balance the same as with one that I just pay it and then CLOSE it prior to filling.

For example - File with Chase balance at 500$ of course probably permanent black listed vs

Pay Balance - Close the account MYSELF (paid as agreed)..eventually they will be informed but no action on their end is required. I know I know i can use other institutions - it's a low effort inquiry. The big picture is still financial rehab. I just enjoyed the Apps eco systems and services than a credit union.

New to the MA LTC world — question about traffic stops

Hello Folks... I’m new to the LTC world and plan on taking my time before I ever decide to carry. I had a question about traffic stops in Massachusetts. If you have an LTC and get pulled over for a normal motor vehicle violation, does the officer’s routine license/registration check automatically show that you have an LTC? Or is that something they would only know if you told them?

Also, are there any best practices for handling a traffic stop if you have an LTC, especially if you’re not carrying at the time? I’m not planning on carrying right now, but I’m curious about this for the future since circumstances with a vehicle can obviously change. Any tips would be appreciated.

Financial Future vs Being Present

I am just here for a quick vent. Financially we are in a terrible situation. My kids are teens 16/17 heading to college soon. Right now, just working 40 hours a week, i just can't pay the bills. That said i used to work 60 hours so 40 hours feels very easy. Last 5 years, i have been parenting very well. I have an incredible relationship with them..Help them with homework, summer activities, take them to parties and get the gist, taught them gym exercises etc... They come to me for advice and greet me at the door even as teens. I can work more back to 70 hours or file bankruptcy and ruin my credit for 10 years. I have sacrificed a little my financial future for time with them. I always felt we can't have it all especially in lower middle class families. I hope i made the right choice.

[40M] and [39F] situationship conversation

when do you guys talk about status of a relationship. We have been on 3 dates and some sexting for last 4 weeks. I want to ask her how does she feel? is this better via text to give her room to answer or in person she wanted to hook up that day after food. As much as i want sex bad - I don't want to sleep with her until i know.. so in person or via text ?

If an earthquake suddenly pushed a huge piece of land above the ocean, who would own it?

Let’s say there’s a massive earthquake and part of the seafloor gets pushed up enough to become a new island. Could the country closest to it claim the island? Could another country claim it? Or could a random person who discovered it first claim it for themselves?
