I’m a first time mom due with my baby in mid-late July! Very excited but a little nervous for the warmer days. Like most, our house does not have AC, and is older. We are also west facing and somewhat at the top of a hill so in the late afternoon our living room just becomes an absolute oven. Today’s high of 80 made the house feel uncomfortably warm for a few hours. We do have a couple portable AC’s that help us get by, but on those reeeaally hot days, they can only do so much!
All this to say, would love some advice/tips and tricks that worked for any of you to keep baby cool once she’s here. And for me, as I’ll be my most pregnant, and freshly postpartum, in the hottest time of year. 😅
Other things to note, the nursery is east facing so just gets the morning direct sunshine. Our backyard is also east facing so it’s nicely shaded a lot of the day. We did pick up a Nuna bassinet + stand off marketplace and I’m thinking we’ll spend a lot of time out there using that.
