Just sharing my recent experience with the group chamma Arts for dancers in case it helps others:

I connected with Chamma Arts at the end of May (May 30th) to inquire about dancers for our upcoming wedding on September 19.

It was extremely unfortunate that they had confirmed on May 30th (as of now having dancers for that date). I continued to connect with them to solidify our information as I was awaiting to hear confirmation with another group as well as them (I mentioned needing a male dancer) which they agreed to by message despite it not being a typical request for them. If they were not comfortable to proceed at that point I would have preferred that transparency.

It is now the start of August and they have messaged to confirm their dancers are now scheduled and that they do not hold a spot without a deposit. That is understandable, except they specifically would not follow up with the contract and mentioned they needed more time to follow up with the request. I can't secure the date and send a deposit if they can't send the contract and delayed it.

Unfortunately, I find this really jeopardizes the integrity of working with them given that it is quite a short delay toward the wedding for us to figure out. We do have another group we can thankfully look into, but as a client I don't find this the most integral business practice (especially given very short notice and a sudden shift in scheduling).

For added transparency, the group mentioned requiring more time to determine if they can schedule time with another dancer to coordinate practice sessions; however, they noted their specific dancers within their group would be unavailable for that date (the change in reasoning for discontinuing was a primary concern of mine specifically; being unable to coordinate practice time vs changing to being completely unavailable for the date at this late notice was challenging on my end as a potential customer)

I'm also unsure why they opted to send me an image of my review back to me via Instagram with no comment (it comes across as unprofessional and uncomfortable on my end vs just accepting that as a customer I'm allowed to post a review/feedback to others).

Does anyone have or know where to purchase a "fake Wedding Cake base"?

We're getting a friend to make us a small cake to place on top but giving out another cake for our guests.

We're located in Toronto!
