I’m using a powrlabs chest strap with a reasonably fresh battery yet the connection between it and my x22i treadmill keeps fading. It reports a much lower heart rate than I’m experiencing (and my Apple Watch is reporting) so it throws my ActivePulse way out of whack. Anyone have a solve for this? It’s so frustrating.
My 28 year old child died last week after a 7 year battle with cancer. The last 2 years of their life were filled with so many doctors’ appointments, surgeries, and rounds of intense treatment. The last week of their life was spent in our home with hospice support. Shiva is done and now the quiet sets in. I feel supported by friends and family - but I don’t know what to do with what feels like endless free time and moreso endless thought space. If I’m not thinking about what time the next dose of meds are, what is going to happen when they die, when am I cling to get that returned call from the hospice nurse what am I supposed to be thinking about? I feel too free and I do.not.like.it.

I’m beyond in love with this baby quilt and so loved the process. Considering I can’t be trusted to cut simple squares or rectangles, Foundation Paper Piecing really works for me. It’s like quilting, origami and jigsaw puzzling had a love child. Now I just have to wait until September to give it to the new parents!
