Pre workout meal ideas

I’m on day 11 of my first round. Overall I feel pretty good except for my cardio based workouts. I’ve been eating Larabars pre workout the last few days to just get some calories in and I know that’s not exactly following the rules. I do CrossFit 4-5 days a week and overall am pretty active. I feel like the protein boost has made my lifts better but my cardio is suffering from lack of carbs. I do eat fruit with meat sticks sometimes also. I would love to know what everyone else eats pre workout to fuel high intensity workouts?

Recovery and running

I’ve been doing CrossFit for about 9 months now. Still feeling pretty new and generally hit 4 classes a week at least. At this point is really like to start focusing on recovery as I’m a female entering my 40s. any tips would be appreciated.

I also ran a lot last year and frankly I have run much at all since starting CrossFit this year. Id like to start getting a couple runs in a week again but not really sure how to structure them with CrossFit to not burn out.

I also am in the process of being diagnosed with Lipedema so recovery is going to be super important. I’m looking to really embark on a lifestyle overhaul so this diagnosis doesn’t keep me from my active lifestyle.

Best tips for conservative treatments

I believe I may have lipedema. Aside from their looks (see photos), my legs have had a heavy achey feeling frequently. I have been a crossfitter for over a year and did other fitness before that so I originally thought it was just from movement. My legs have looked similar since I was in my 20s. I had a child at 21. Even When I lost weight and was 135lbs my legs were a bit smaller but still looked the same as they do today. I realized in all my years getting physicals no doctor ever looked at my legs. I am waiting to get into the doctors but was wondering what’s your best tips for conservative treatment. I heard dry brushing can help, and suggestions on an affordable dry brush would be great too.
