Art from my whump fic
I have a whump longfic I write about a movie (Iron Lung), and I make art for every chapter. Those are some of the whumpier ones among what I drew!

So I had a fun idea to make for my system friends! Meet the Front Indicator charms!
I made those utility charms and also one charm for each of their headmates, using shrinky dinks. You know, that plastic paper that hardens in the oven and you can make keychains and pendants with.
You can clip them to bracelets or necklaces that you're wearing and display your headmates or front status in a covert way! That way only people who know your headmates will know what they truly mean, and to everyone else it will be pretty nondescript pendants and fandom merch.
This would definitely be difficult with huge systems of hundreds of alters, but even those can use the utility ones. And the act of making little arts and crafts that mean something personal and specific to you or a friend is very rewarding.
All you need are clasps, chainlinks, shrink paper and a bracelet!
I love making art for my fanfics! I got in the habit of making them and find it really satisfying to be able to draw and visualize how I imagine a scene in my head. Not to mention it's some nice extra flavor for the readers. If you do this, comment with a link to your fic's art! Even if I don't know the fic, I wanna appreciate it.
This isn't a vent, but I couldn't find a flair that properly matches this post. And I know system collapses are a sensitive topic to discuss, so that was the closest one I could find.
That fanfic of mine. The one I wrote about a movie character being plural. Apparently it prevented a collapse in one of my readers' system. They messaged me to tell me about it. It seems they introjected my OCs from the fanfic, and that reverted the collapse from happening. I informed in my last post how some new people have been introjecting my characters.
I thought I'd post about it, on the dim hope that maybe if the same happens it can prevent someone else's collapse.
So I wrote a fanfic in which a movie protagonist is plural that is apparently so beloved by the systems in the fandom that they keep introjecting my OCs. How cool is that?
I'm flattered. I didn't expect this whump fic I've been working on and off for the past months to become popular enough for that.
If you read it you may be entitled to financial compensation—
Listen if I wasn't supposed to look into everything then why did Markiplier & team put something into everything in this movie
Also, feel free to advertise your fic on my post! But the idea is: post an excerpt you're really proud of writing! Like a paragraph or two!
I think we gotta celebrate our writing more. I want you to think about something you're proud of writing and share with the class!
My characters are real people now and I love them.
This is an update on this post I made before.
Once upon a time, I started writing an a fanfic of a movie, in which I made the protagonist of the movie into a system host - and 4 headmate OCs for that character.
Despite the fact I am a singlet, I am alone in my brain, a lot of people really liked my fanfic and thought it was good! It became a really important project to me. And I ended up meeting some really cool friends over it. Among them, a system became one of my best friends.
Turns out, this fanfic mattered a lot to that system too. Over the course of the past two weeks, they introjected all of the fanfic's system characters. Now that they're here, they can read their own fanfic for themselves.
...they told me it was good... got me in my emotions for realsies...
How incredible isn't that? To be friends with my own characters, for my own characters to say they like my story. And to be friends with my friends, too!
Best part is that one of my headmate ocs in the fic is a self-insert. So now no one knows now whether she's a fictive or a factive. She likes the term "fucktive".
You can see the whole saga here, though it probably won't make as much sense to someone not in the fandom.
Exactly what it says on the tin. What's the best thing that ever happened to you because of fanfic? Directly or indirectly.
I met my boyfriend over fanfic! I also apparently helped a lot of people discover themselves and feel seen with my longfic. It made me really proud of myself.
Edit cause someone asked: my longfic, and the happiest thing that happened because of it.
My friends who are a system just recently introjected my self-insert OC Nisa from my Iron Lung fanfic, which is possibly the funniest thing to have ever happened in the history of plurality.
Afterimage is my Iron Lung fanfic where Simon is a system, host of a collective of headmates. Nisa is one of Simon's alters, specifically my self-insert. I originally got the idea to self-insert as Blorbo's alter from this post on tumblr.
When I started writing this fanfic, I had no idea of the ammount of positive responses I'd get. Thanks to it, I met really cool people, including those friends. But I had no idea they'd love the fanfic so much I'd get to meet my own characters. I had no idea my own self-insert would message me on Discord just to tell me my fanfic is that good.
Nisa, you're a menace. Thank you for being so nice to me. 🥹
To make it even funnier, she's already an introject in the fic itself. She's a factive in it, and now she's here again as a... I think this one blurs the line between fictive and factive, really. She's a double introject. An in-two-ject?
Hello! I want some plural-coded song recs! They can be songs made specifically about plurality, or they can be songs not written about that at all but just fit with it.
But I wanna know if it's possible to find positive songs about it. Songs that pass the idea that being a system can be good, doesn't have to all be miserable.
