4in 1095 steel blade with a stonewashed finish. Ziricote wood handle with black Gulso Bolts and a hand stitched leather sheath.
Switched over to Gulso bolts for the most part from pins, at least on full tang builds. Some scale sets for knives are planned but I’ve been quite busy for the past few months.

“Diamond Eye Alligator” From Kieselstein-Cord in 1988. Sterling ring with diamond eyes. Came across it in an antique store listed as “vintage ring”. Just happened to be my size as well! I’ve taken to wearing this little guy most days, his goofy little face gets a chuckle out of me.
As someone currently practicing his own jewelry making, something like this and the rest of the vintage Kieselstein-Cord pieces I’ve seen has given me a lot of inspiration!
Also my cat Juniper decided to take part in the photo as well.
2.75in 80CrV2 blade with a stonewashed finish. Bubinga wood handle with copper pins and a leather pocket sheath.
Haven’t worked with Bubinga in a while and it was easier to work than I remember, sands and grinds well and takes a good polish.

Haven’t done a Katalox handle in a while and I forgot how hard this stuff is, grinds and sands slowly but does end up with a nice finish.

Ipe surprised me with how easily it worked and took a polish, wasn’t expecting that given it’s hardness. Also surprised me with how nice looking it was in the finished product, I tried Ipe as an experiment and it’ll be staying in my handle materials now.

Leopardwood was easier to work with than expected, grinds and cuts well and takes a good polish. Already used it for another hunter in this batch as well as an EDC and plan to use it more in the future.

Changed my EDC design some, a more comfortable handle with a slightly finer edge as well. Purpleheart continues to be annoying to work with, but always gives consistently good looking results.

1084 steel with a stonewash finish. This one is a left handed but I also made some right handed ones. Also with a simple leather sheath.
I didn’t really appreciate until making these just how nuts the edge can be on single bevel blades, even with a more utility edge on the Kiridashi they still go straight through my tests and my thumb accidentally a few times (oops).
