I really like looking at these types of buildings, especially ones with more alternative architecture. Are there lists/guides to visiting interesting buildings like these? Not the conventional “must-see buildings in city X”, but more obscure buildings that may look ugly as well. If there are, what keywords do I look for?

I got this as a present from my dad, and after thinking I solved it, the pin that goes into the top to push down some type of spring disappeared. I searched for it a bit and concluded it had to be inside of the puzzle since all the coins were out and I was hearing a large amount of rattling. After re-opening the puzzle using a nail roughly the same size of the small pin, I found both the small pin and this thicker cylinder inside of one of the coin slots. It’s noticeably thicker and shorter than the other pin and I’m worried it’s part of some type of internal mechanism. I did violently shake it, and even hit it a few times to figure out the steps to consistently open it. Is this an internal part and did I break it? If so, how can I fix it? Otherwise, is this part of the puzzle and have I just not solved it completely? I have no clue
What do you think? Are the caustics too distracting?
Pic 1: Stm32 chip I replaced on a Launchpad board. This is a replacement chip, I removed the old one first. Works as intended as I was able to program the chip without issues
Pic 3: hooked up some wires to this controller to take over functionality. I couldn’t reprogram it so I decided to just have an ESP32 take over the functionality by cutting power (scratching to the bottom right of the chip) to this chip and hooking up small wires. I almost don’t believe it, but there’s no shorts here
How’d I do?
