an interesting 3d print

I spent a long time making this bust. More than half a year. I used hand and power tools. Mainly a drill and milling cutters. But also files, needle files, and a graver. This is pear wood. I glued together several boards. After carving, I used stain, oil, and polish. I already shared a bit of the process in this group; here's the link. Lots of machined aluminium, metal frames, cast resin handles and other various resin printed components. Nearly finished before sending off to their new homes!

I love this movie. John Goodman’s talent is so impressive. He actually played the piano and sang in those scenes, which makes them even better.

This was one of the first DVDs I ever bought, and I still have that same copy today. There’s just something about this movie that I’ve always enjoyed. Friends thought I was weird for having this on DVD, but I don’t regret it and I’m not ashamed. It’s funny, lighthearted, and John Goodman is great from start to finish. I wish it was streaming somewhere because setting up my DVD player is a pain, but every few years I end up pulling it out and watching it again. It always leaves me smiling.

Not every movie needs to be a masterpiece to be memorable, and I’ve already had my 15yr old son watch it to pass on the fun.

Anyone else a fan??
