Its with pleasure I announce that I have got admitted into MDT program at ESCP.

I have received an offer from IMT Atlantique as well, for the MSc MOST program. Supply Chain is my actual area of interest, but MDT program at ESCP aligns the best with my career so far as a Business Analyst. I am really confused as to which can be chosen, as both seem have pros and cons, like for example, if I choose Supply Chain, it will be altogether a new domain for me to learn, and when I enter the job market, I might be considered as an entry level candidate. But with MDT, I believe I can easily adapt to the program, and I might be a senior level candidate.

However, I would love to hear from fellow students/alumni and people who studied from France to understand more about the school.

  1. With my research, I was able to understand that ESCP is well recognized across Europe, but how well does it fare when compared to other schools like EDHEC, HEC, and ESSEC.
  2. How is the alumni network at ESCP. Is it really active and influential during our job search or does the job opportunities solely depend on our networking skill only?
  3. ESCP is a business school. How does it compare with other Grand Ecoles, but public universities, like ENS Lyon, IMT Atlantique, etc.

  1. How are the MSc programs at ESCP being perceived by the recruiters at France and UK? Because 6 months of the course is being hosted at London campus.

CSK has been one of the best teams to defend 200+ runs most of the times, but as a fan, I feel we are still stuck to our old legacy format, to post 210-220 and defend. I feel those days are slowly fading away. We must be ready to score 230+ both batting first and chasing as well.

5-6 years back 200 was considered to be a humongous total and the way batsmen approached the game itself was something like an aggressor who can go berserk and score a big 50 or century if the pitch was good or total was above 180 or 190.

2024 changed everything in my opinion. To be even more precise, SRH batsmen changed the vision of T20 altogether. Six hitting madness was inaugurated successfully that year.

These days, teams are seeing 200+ differently. Majority of the teams are shifting towards batsmen who can score at more than 180 or 200 strike rate. I feel this is where we are lagging as a team. There is no pinch hitter who can take away the game in a matter of 4-6 overs. Ayush seems like a fantastic addition, but we need someone to back him up if he fails.

230+ has become the new benchmark for IPL. As far as my cricketing knowledge goes, below could be the prime reasons:

  1. The way pitches are being developed and laid.

  2. Change in the technique - Batsmen who are more power-oriented and have the hard hitting ability are being preferred by the franchises.

  3. Rules of the game increasingly favours batsmen.

  4. Timing of the tournament- Mostly played in super hot and humid Indian summer with little to no offer for swing except for very few matches.

My points could be totally wrong here, that’s why a healthy discussion could improve our cricketing knowledge. Is CSK as a team still 4-5 years behind, or is it just a matter of winning 2-3 matches as a team, instead of relying on one man performance? Although CSK is better than how they were during 2025, still I feel that we are too unpredictable and unreliable.

With MI & LSG, the scenario is completely different. With few big names not in form and their world class bowling units not firing properly when it matters the most. KKR seem to have made a blunder in the auction and retentions. But in the end, only one team can be the winner in cricket. That’s the beauty of this sport.

Finally, are we enjoying this type of cricket? Absolutely yes, but will it spoil the upcoming young bowlers’ mentality, again yes. And is this good for cricket’s future? Nah, in my opinion.

Fellow Bengalurians, this year’s been surprisingly crazy hot.

I saw few reels and other redditors posting summer showers in their area. No rain whatsoever in and around Whitefield. Last two nights have been miserable for me, continuously sweating during night time (especially when I sleep). By the time I wake up, I feel like I have taken bath twice.

Since I live in a rented 1RK, not much space to move around as well.

Do you guys know of a better alternative to prevent this? (except for AC, Air Cooler, and an extra fan)
