What are your hobbies?

Ok ladies, I just turned 60, retired, kids are off to college and I need to find some new hobbies. I love to garden but with summer ending soon I need some other ideas to fill my time and create some fun. Give me some ideas.

Edit: Wow the response has been amazing and I truly love and appreciate all your creative suggestions. I'm still reading through your comments, they are very inspirational. Thank you ❤️

Happy Olive Tree

I've never had so many olives on my Trader Joe's olive tree before. It's loving the weather this year in WW.

Local plumber referral

Are there any local, licensed, bonded plumbers around? I have a copper pipe with a slow leak in my garage ceiling.

Eastside Jeep Repair

I need a trusted full service auto repair shop for my Jeep Grand Cherokee. It only needs an oil change but the last full service shop for oil change I took it to in Redmond over-tightened and stripped the oil pan plug. I've taken it to two oil change shops that can't remove the plug and say it may need to be drilled out and could cost up to $2k. And to make matters worse my engine light just came on. Help, I really appreciate any advice.

DIY Backyard from barren to lush in 3 yrs

I had neglected my backyard for years but in 2023 I embraced my shade garden, added drip irrigation, trimmed back lawn in some areas and planted lawn in other areas, added steps, low voltage lights, but most importantly added lots of lush shade tolerant plants. It's my secret garden. More plants are ready to soon bloom. All DIY, it's amazing what a determined retired lady and a (part-time) helpful husband can accomplish.

Jeep oil change could cost me $2500

Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 2013, 4WD, 72000 miles.

I went in to get an oil change today at Goodyear but the shop called and said that the drain plug is over tightened and risks breaking the plastic oil pan. If that happens it will of course need to be replaced $518 with 8 hrs of labor over 3 days costing $1700. Does this seem right? The small shop that I used to have do my oil changes and who overtightened the plug had at the time been sold and the new owners did the work under the old business name ( now changed to a European shop). Should I talk to them? Best case senerio the plug comes off ok and it's just an oil change. Worst case is $2500. Help, I need advice and an oil change.

Is this the Rust fungus?

My Juniper has this orange stuff growing on the branches which I suspect is the Rust fungus. My nearby spirea appears to have Rust on the leaves. Should I treat both plants? How do I get rid of this?

My sister's pink Kousa Dogwood, planted last year, only has one bloom and the tips of leaves are starting to turn yellow. Could this be iron deficiency? Thanks for any suggestions on care.

Are there any effective OTC treatments for crepey skin on arms? In the last few weeks my upper arms have totally changed and are suddenly flabby and crepey old lady arms. I just want to hide them but short sleeve weather is coming. Help.
