Micro destination wedding (3k)
I just wanted to share our budget for our tiny Smokey mountain destination wedding incase anyone else needs some inspo.
We got married at chapel in the hollow in Seymour,TN.
Our guest count was 12 not including us.
Venue (including photography, flowers, minimal decor, and officiant) : 1300
Food: about $450
Drinks: 150
Stay ( 4 night honeymoon cabin): 700
Cake: $20 Kroger cake
Dress/ veil: $250 it was an Amazon find and I needed no alterations
Menswear: 100
Kids clothes 120
Shoes: $200
Hand fasting cords: $20ish. I made them myself!
Total: $3290
We got the venue for 1 hr plus 30 mins set up. I was really nervous this wouldn’t be enough but it was just the right amount of time and our photographer got tons of lovely photos in that time.
We went to lunch after at a local restaurant and just sat as a large group so no catering.
Drinks we had after at the larger cabin my parents rented. This is not included in the budget breakdown but I believe it was $500 a night and had a hot tub, sauna, indoor pool, foosball table, pool table and arcade. Everyone had a blast. We bought some moon shine and a couple 12 packs of pop. Everyone went their separate ways for dinner.
The venue was incredible. I’d recommend them to anyone wanting to get married in the area. We showed up with our rings and cords and they took care of the rest. It was a beautiful ceremony and the space was breathtaking.
I just wanted to show an example of a super low budget wedding that I think was still just as lovely as people that have budgets in the tens of thousands.
Work within your means. Don’t go into debt over a day and don’t let social media make you think it has to be this grand crazy thing. So what feels right for you and your partner.
Goodluck! I hope your weddings are all exactly what you dreamed of!
