Wondering if anyone’s stayed in Shizhuo as a base to get to Alishan. I’m planning to visit Alishan for 2 days in December and staying in the park itself is just insanely expensive so this seems more reasonable. Would love to hear what people’s experience with this was & if you have a recommendation on where to stay? Thanks

The confirmation I got was just a 2 digit code and they won’t provide any written ticket or anything. Wanted to see if anyone else has gone through this and that it worked for them

as mentioned above, I have an IDP and G2 but no G. There are some websites that say all you need is an IDP and passport but wanted to see if anyone’s done this (especially in Okinawa). Thanks!!
hey all! I’ve been editing on CapCut / Instagram edits for the last little while & I want to take time to learn either DaVinci Resolve or Premiere Pro. Like 10 years ago I took a class on media arts which involved the Adobe suite but beyond that I’m equally unfamiliar with both.
Curious which one people actually think is better / more worthwhile to spend time taking courses on and learning + investing money in.

Hi all, myself and a friend are visiting Taiwan from Dec 3 landing at 10:30am to Dec 11 departing at 11:30am (both from Taipei). We are both in our early twenties and like a pretty fast pace of travel as we try to see as much as we can in a short time. We’re Canadian and it’s possible this is the only time in our life we’ll get to visit Taiwan so we want to see all the highlights.
The challenge I’m having is deciding to stay in Taipei the whole time and then take day trips, or to move cities and complete a loop back to Taipei. I think as of now I do prefer the loop (we don’t have a lot of luggage so it’s not impractical). The other challenge I’m facing is that everyone is suggesting a different itinerary and people have conflicting views on what is overrated.
If anyone has a full proof split on cities to visit, please do lmk! Thanks in advance
hey all! I’ve read several posts on here that mention it doesn’t matter what test you take and you should take whichever will give you a better score. Have a friend that got into an M7 and swears by the GMAT since you are more comparable to majority of applicants. I’m sitting at a lower GPA than most medians so I really want to standout on the score and have the next 4 months with nothing much to do but study before starting work full time. curious if anyone on here had a similar experience and leveraged a high gmat score to compensate for a lower GPA (and opted for the gmat for the same reason)?
I’m planning to take a diagnostic for both the gmat and gre but read some articles that you should study before getting a baseline so it’s more accurate. I suspect I’ll do better on the GRE though

Heading on the HGL (3D, 2N) in June. Going as a group of 4, all in our early 20s. Most importantly we want a safe tour experience!
Other notes - we will likely do the private rooms, we want a small group (under 15ppl), and would like somewhat of a social vibe but nothing crazy.
Would love any tips! I saw some concerning reviews about motor ventures transit to the loop from Hanoi + the accommodation on night 1 not being clean.
