Please help rate this deal! First timer getting first car. Kia Niro Hybrid EX - CA - 12/15k - $0 down

Hello, am looking to get a small hybrid SUV and the Kia Niro Hybrid is the one closest to my current budget (no more than $350ish per month) and I’m still tossing up between 12k or 15k. Went to the dealership and they were not entertaining anything less than $400, even with a cheaper trim. Should I proceed with this or is there anything I’m missing?

Where to buy tiger beer pitcher and glasses?

Hello! Was at Lau Pa Sat last night and I fell in love with those glass pitchers and glasses. Lowkey wanted to ask the beer stall if I could buy a set off them but I chickened out. Will be leaving SG in a week so I’m hoping to be able to get them before that!

First time car buyer, I need advice? 👉🏼👈🏼

Hello! With a new job that needs me commuting occasionally from the likes of Highland Park / DTLA to OC, I have decided to finally bite the bullet and get a car. I have never gone through this process before and would love to get any advice possible. I also don’t know anything about cars (someone just explained to me what a hybrid is recently). Some preliminary questions:

(1) Should I buy a (certified) pre-owned or leasing a new car? What are the main considerations?

(2) Should I go down directly to the brand dealership (e.g. Honda of DTLA) or through other sellers (like Cerritos Auto Square - note I’m just citing them as an example, I only know this place because of their ads). Can I always negotiate at these places?

(3) How best do I go about shopping for auto insurance? I randomly got a quote from Progressive online last night for about $350 for a leased Honda sedan. My CA license is very new, but I have a foreign drivers license for more than 10 years. No priors.

Any other advice on things I might have overlooked would also be appreciated!

Need a June appointment but earliest is mid July

Trying to get H1B interview in Singapore (I am a resident). The earliest slot I found is in mid July but I need one for mid to late June. Do they release new slots? How frequent should I check?

Exploring a potential new job opportunity and I’m v excited about it; the only issue is the commute. I live in DTLA and the office is in Torrance. I’m looking to go into the office 3 days a week, and they should be flexible on my start and end times. Does anyone on this sub take the J line regularly to the Harbor Transit Center? Any feedback, how realistic am I to do this commute, or should I just finally bite the bullet and get a car…?
