Level 3 cloudward slash red glow

Level 3 cloudward slash red glow

There's a very brief moment at the startup of the level 3 cloudward slash, where our character glows with a noticeably red tinge and it even looks like the heart is lighting up.

It reminds me both of the bright yellow glow we get on warfarer when using re-armament, and the reddish color of the brine or dragon's plague.

Don't know if it means anything at all or if it's just a cool visual effect that level 3 skills might get.

Just wanted to share with you guys that I noticed the red glow.

My screenshot certainly doesn't do it justice I suggest re-watching the footage in super slow mo to see if it yourselves if you're interested.

New gear and armor speculation

There appears to be an empty circle underneath the third skill that this bow offers,

My theory is that level 3 gear could potentially have up to four unique skills or upgrades to existing skills.

Unfortunately we did not see any armor pieces get appraised but I'm assuming maybe the chess piece my offer up to two skills and maybe upgrades to core skills or augments and the other pieces of armor maybe could have upgrades to core skills and arguments.

I wonder if it's randomized or if the skills that are being upgraded are always tied to the same weapon like for example if we were to appraise another "singular sanguine radiance" would it have fortifying arrow sagittate white out and blighting strike or could it potentially roll with different skills on it.

My full theory is that the skills are randomized and you will have to grind to get your perfect weapon with your perfect skills and your perfect armor with specifically upgrades to core skills and augments that you use.

Personally I would prefer if all of the gear had set skills and was not randomized so that's the direction I'm hoping they have taken it but if they end up going with the full randomization it would certainly make the end game a really long grind to get perfect gear.

If it's not randomized and the skills and augments and core skills are set, I feel like it would be a much more balanced grinding experience you would be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel if that makes sense.

So I suspect with a full set of level 3 enhanced gear you'd be looking at

4 -6 skills enhanced

2-4 core skills enhanced

2-4 augments enhanced.

Fighter might get a little bonus here since they have the shield as a separate equippable weapon that can come with its own bonuses.

Ps5 controller not connecting to the PlayStation.

So I just ran into a new issue that I found very interesting.

I installed the extreme rate hall effect analog sticks with the included orange PCB board.

When I plug the controller into the computer and go to the GamePad tester.com, all the buttons work and they work with no perceivable latency or lag. if I press the button it pops up instantaneously ,or at least faster than I can fully comprehend and when I let go of the button it disappears just as quickly.

I'm able to control the entire laptop with my controller and all buttons work and function like I said with no latency.

When I plug the controller back into my PS5 it won't fully connect.

It has very strange behavior where the lights come on and I press the home button and the lights change blue but it doesn't bring up like a login screen.

When I use another controller to go to Bluetooth accessories ,and then I plug in the controller in question ,it automatically scrolls on the screen to the controller in question. so it is both recognizing the device and that it is specifically a dual sense controller and that it's one that it has connected to before.

I've tried making it forget the signal and reconnecting the controller which once again it will register that it's connected to the controller but I can't do anything with it.

I've also tried forgetting the connection and putting the controller into Bluetooth sync mode ,and then connecting to it via scanning for Bluetooth devices, and it will fully register that it's connected but the controller still doesn't do anything on the PlayStation menu like I can't play games or anything with it.

All of this then to immediately plug it back into the computer and have every button show up that it's working perfectly fine on the GamePad tester.

I don't know if I did anything wrong or if there's a step that I'm missing but any help please would be very much appreciated

Edit: typos

Follow up post about circularity with extreme rate Hall effects

Okay so from all of the info I was able to gather by myself and of course from the comments on my last post , I believe this should be a much better result.

I still have a lot to learn I believe but let me know what you guys think.

Are there areas I can improve and does this look like a good model for circularity.

I tried to keep it between 7.5% and 9% and I tried to have overshoot in the corners.

I got these results by slowly rotating each analog stick both clockwise and counterclockwise at least five times or more I continued to rotate them until the percentage stopped changing.

This is the result that I got after doing that whole process three times in a row it was the exact same.

Oh and I remembered to turn the flash off this time 😂

Is this good?

Very new to doing this it's actually my first time soldering and everything,

I installed the hall effects from extreme rate.

I used their orange I think it's called a PCB board and followed the instructions.

This was as low as I can get it while making sure that it reached the edges for the circularity test.

Just wondering if I'm supposed to get it to 0% or is that impossible?

Also sorry I forgot to turn off my flash both times 😂

[ps5] controller, question about snap domes

So I believe I have named the part correctly,

Sorry if I did not.

My copper snap dome has fallen off and I can't find it.

It appears to be circular with maybe two shelves on it or ears or legs or whatever the technical term is one that goes up and one that goes down.

I believe it's 4 mm in size?

Can anyone please either direct me to where I can find the exact snap dome I need or confirm if I can just get a standard 4 mm circular snap dome that doesn't have the legs ,will that work?

I believe the shelf is undamaged I just need to place a tiny snap dome on it and all should be good I hope.

Just my life/ need a bit of help ps5 controller

I just soldered for the very first time in my life it was so much more difficult than I thought it was going to be 😂

I installed some new hall effect analog sticks specifically the extreme rate brand.

I'm pretty sure I did everything absolutely perfectly and I went to test the GamePad website and all of my buttons are working and my analog sticks are working except for the options button...

And it feels mushy.

So I open up the controller thinking oh maybe there's just like a little wire in the way or something I'll take care of it super quick and then come to find out that the copper contact dome is nowhere to be found...

I don't know what the solution to this problem is because it's like practically I'll microscopic problem but obviously I need my options button 😭.

Any advice

[ps5] controller copper contact dome misplaced for the options button

The little guy I'm pointing out with the tiny screwdriver,

It seems to have fallen off by mistake while I was working on the controller and I can't possibly find something that small.

I'm wondering if somebody can walk me through an alternative solution I've heard I can do something like cut a really really tiny piece of aluminum foil and make a makeshift one.

Any help or advice would be super awesome.

Melve port Crystal unique interaction

Just thought I would share something new I found,

So obviously Melve has a new permanent port Crystal, between that and a combination of the eternal fairy stone travel has never been easier.

But I noticed that if you try to fairy Stone to Melve when the dragon is attacking it actually won't let you and it gives you a unique message saying you cannot travel to there by fairy Stone at this time.

Of course you can still ride an ox cart there and either fight your dragon as normal or run up and use the giant ballista on the tower to kill the dragon.

But you could use this message as a way to confirm if the dragon is there or if you need to rest a few more days.

It's not a super big deal but for those that are trying to unlock mystic spear hand as quickly as possible this could help you confirm if the event is going to happen before you get there.

Question about overlapping ribbon cables.

So I would like to install both the extreme rates Hall analog sticks, and the extreme rates spark kit on my PS5 controller.

This will be my first time soldering and I had a question about if something was allowed or will work properly.

So the analog sticks come with a orange colored ribbon cable that I place in between the analog sticks and the motherboard and it wraps around to the other side of the motherboard where I'm supposed to solder it to the board.

And in the spark kit there's a ribbon cable that is supposed to connect the l3 and r3.

I haven't been able to check just yet but I believe from the videos I've watched that both of these ribbon cables are going to overlap the same soldering joints.

Am I allowed to solder both ribbon cables to the same joints like will that work properly or will it cause interference or something.

If I didn't describe this well or my lingo is off I apologize I'm very new to this and any help would be really appreciated

12 dungeon theory

While I'm impatiently waiting for the DLC I couldn't help but start cooking up some ideas that I wanted to share.

Okay so 12 dungeons on the base world that are trials by the Pathfinder. I believe this is fully confirmed

12 godsbane doors that have been found on the base game map by people using no clip mods and things of that nature,

Nine of them on the surface and three of them underwater meaning theoretically they can only be accessed in the unmored world.

I haven't seen this with my own eyes but there's a lot of people confirming these door locations so I'm assuming this is a fact.

Okay here's my theory.

The nine doors on the surface will lead to potentially vocation themed trials and at the end of each one of them they will reward a vocation specific weapon and there will be one weapon per vocation and I believe the loot will be set not drawing from a loot table.

This will let each vocation have some special weapon that Capcom has cooked up.

And for the three doors that are underwater and only accessible in a unmored world I believe these will reward vocation agnostic armor so armor that could be worn by any vocation and maybe this is an opportunity for them to bring back the abyssal plate mail or abyssal chainmail armor from ddda when fighting the ur dragon.

I know my theory is a little far-fetched but what do you guys think.
