Hello everyone, I am aware that I am asking a bit a luxury question but here it is: I got both fwo and fnrs postdoc grants in belgium this year. FNRS changed their rules this year and it is not possible to combine both grants fully. My current plan is to do fnrs for 6 months first from october, then, freeze it for 2,5 years. Fwo rules says, if I didnt mention my application during initial application, which was not possibe because fnrs application was after fwo application, I need to ask for unpaid research leave if I accept another grant and they say the unpaid leave will not be added to my contract which means I will lose 6 months from fwo grant. Do you have any other suggestions which I will lose less than 6 months? Thanks in advance!

I am a Belgian citizen and need to apply for a Chinese X2 visa for a short-term study/workshop stay in China.

Does anyone know whether I can apply directly at the Chinese Embassy in Brussels, or whether it is mandatory to apply through the private visa service centre/company?

The service fee seems to be more than €100, so I would like to know if there is still a direct embassy option.

Has anyone applied recently for an X2 visa from Belgium? I would be grateful for any recent experience.
