Received OPT approval email, but USCIS account still hasn’t updated — is this normal?

Hi everyone,

I received an email confirming that my post-completion OPT was approved, but when I log into my USCIS online account, the case status still hasn’t changed and I don’t see an approval notice yet.

Has anyone else experienced this?

For anyone who received the approval email before USCIS updated:

  • How long did it take for your USCIS case status to change?
  • When did the approval notice appear under Documents?
  • How long after that did your EAD card get produced/mailed?
  • Should I consider the email confirmation reliable even though the USCIS portal hasn’t caught up yet?

I’m especially curious about anyone who went through premium processing and/or an RFE, since that’s my situation.

Would really appreciate hearing your timelines. Thank you!

Do men ever forget their first love

I’ve recently come across a few YouTube videos, where men discussed how they love their wives I would never cheat on them. However, in some cases, they are talking about how it’s been 35 years and they are still thinking of their first love.

This is true? I would love to hear more experiences from you guys.

Thank you!

Premium Processing OPT — how long did USCIS take after you submitted your RFE response?

Hi everyone, I’m currently waiting on a post-completion OPT application with premium processing and wanted to hear about other people’s timelines after responding to an RFE.
My timeline:
May 22, 2026: Filed Form I-765 for post-completion OPT and requested premium processing
June 1, 2026: USCIS started the premium-processing clock / case went into active review
July 9, 2026: USCIS issued an RFE
July 14, 2026: RFE notice appeared in my USCIS account
August 14, 2026: Submitted my complete RFE response online
My RFE was mainly about maintenance of F-1 status and asked for things like confirmation of physical class attendance, programme details, syllabi, attendance records, tuition payments, transcript, three months of bank statements, travel/lodging evidence, and address history.
For anyone who also had premium processing + an RFE on an OPT I-765:
How many calendar days or business days after submitting your RFE response did you receive a decision?
Did your case status change to something like “Response to USCIS’ Request for Evidence Was Received” first, or did it go straight to approval?
Did USCIS use most of the new premium-processing period after receiving the RFE, or was the decision much faster?
If your RFE was related to F-1 maintenance of status / attendance / hybrid classes, how long did your decision take?
What year did this happen, and was it initial OPT or STEM OPT?
I know USCIS can take up to the premium-processing timeframe again after receiving the RFE response, but I’m mainly trying to understand what people actually experienced in practice.
Would really appreciate it if you could share your timeline — especially anyone who responded to an OPT RFE recently.

when you miss someone, can they physically sense it?

I’m gonna try to not drag this and make this concise as possible. Me and my ex-boyfriend dated during my senior year of high school till beginning of sophomore year of college. We basically had been no contact for four years. During those times, I got into new relationships and he did too. Last year, he texted me on my birthday and as guilty as I felt, I was very shocked but happy at the same time. We text back-and-forth for a little bit but basically stopped after a bit. Couple months went by with no contact. For a couple of days, I just have to sense where I just feel like I miss him so much. I would listen to songs that reminds me of that period in my life when we were together. (he does not know.) and out of nowhere he sent me a text (as a response to my random Instagram story)

Most days I just go on with my life and don’t think of him like this, but the couple of days that I did, he texted me. Has anyone ever experienced this?

Looking forward to reading all the responses
