Title says it all, is there a way to make the player actor appear behind a sprite actor?

An update on my puzzle platformer.
Still haven’t replaced the placeholder character yet, but I’ve been making some levels and making some good backgrounds I think.

I tried some of your suggestions. Does it look less plain?
I tried to add some dithering, increased some tile sizes, increased the tree size, muted some colors, and removed some outlines.

I’ve written a book before and published on Amazon, I have an author page.
I’ve recently written another book with a friend, they have not and do not have an author page.
If they create a KDP account, how do we “link” their account to their authorship credit on this book?

In the new movie, in the comic-con scene, Johnny looks to a neighboring stand with a crowd around an influencer. This character is referred to as Black Orchid, which is the name of a character from the Killer Instinct games, another fighter series from the 90s. Coincidence? Or Easter egg?
