I have 2 spare tickets to Bastille on Sunday night in Colchester for free!

If anybody wants 2 tickets to Bastille on Sunday night in Colchester, I have 2 spare which are free. I won them in an Asda rewards thing, but I can't attend so happy to pass them on to someone if you want them?

Are there any scaffolders around Torbay who would have a few old scaffolding boards going spare?

I am looking to build an outdoor enclosure for my tortoise in my garden, and in a bid to save money and save any unnecessary landfill, I was wondering if any scaffolders may have some spare old boards please?

Thank you, from me and my tortoise.

Adults who do not have small children- do you have and drink squash at home?

My friend (49M) thinks that squash is for children to drink and everybody else needs to "grow up and drink adult drinks" - as a lifelong cold drink drinker who heavily relies on squash to stay hydrated I disagree and believe squash is for anybody who isn't allergic.

Your thoughts please, kind Internet strangers.

What notice would you give your employer in the below situation if it were you?

Made redundant last year. Took a job in January and I am 5 months into a 6 month probation for a job that is £7k a year less and 5 hours a week more than my old job.

I've been offered a new role which is same hours and money as my old job and I am very excited to start it ASAP.

I misread my notice period and also made an incorrect assumption that within probation if current job only has to give me 1 weeks notice the same would go for me. However upon reading my contract it says I have to give 4 weeks notice whilst in or out of probation.

I dislike this job, genuinely am struggling to live on the wage, and want to start the new one in a week.

What would you do?

A) Give a week and apologise, but say you need to start the new job.

B) push back the start of the new job and work the 4 weeks notice.

C) speak to my current boss and explain and hope for the best.

Also to add - there is a new person staring next week who is way more experienced than me, as I have no previous industry experience and they have years of it, so my fumbling around uselessly is probably not even that helpful in the long run to the company anyway.

Ladies who paddleboard - what buoyancy aids do you wear to fit comfortably?

I am "blessed in the chest" as my grandma would say, and need to find a buoyancy aid/jacket to fit properly when paddleboarding. What do you suggest?

Ladies with flat feet/needing arch supports - what shoes do you wear with summer dresses?

I live in Vans, with my arch supports. I want to find some nicer more summery shoes to wear with dresses but I have to wear arch supports so most sandals are out of the question, and flip flops hurt my feet.

So, what shoes do you wear to look more ladylike but that work with arch supports?

I'd like to start a national law: if you have music in your shop/pub/establishment then you should also have music in your toilets.

As the title says - people should be allowed to poop and pee with music masking them doing so.

Thank you for your attention - but please don't pay attention whilst I am pooping.

What excuses do you use to get out of work for job interviews?

I've got a few interviews coming up and I need time off work to attend them. What excuses should I use?

Unfortunately I work very close to where my doctors is, and I genuinely have the dentist next week, so those won't work!

I also can't use anymore annual leave to go to the interviews.

Give me your most believable excuses please!

People who have had piercings - when did you decide to take the jewellery out for good?

After 16 years of having my tongue pierced , because I'd always wanted to be like Scary Spice, I am debating taking it out not for good. Luckily I've never had any damage to my teeth enamel like some people end up with, but I'm starting to wonder if it looks right as I age.

How intensive is the background check for NHS admin type roles?

I want to apply for an NHS admin style role which has zero contact with patients, and I believe operates on a different system to the health care side of the NHS.

How deep is the background screening?

I have no criminal past, so will pass a DBS but my CV is slightly fudged in terms of dates to smooth over a period which looked a bit job-hoppy. I don't want that to unravel should I be offered the job.

I appreciate your advice!

Best make up for late 30s freckly skin?

I am in my late 30s, my skin is pale and I have lots of freckles which come out darker when I catch the sun, I am not porcelain pale, and I do tan easily without burning.

My skin can be sensitive, and sometimes I do get spots, I would say its normal-dry/sensitive.

I have always used face powder, sometimes blusher or bronzer if I'm dressing up a bit, and always mascara as my eyelashes are pale.

I feel I need to change my makeup to adapt to my aging skin, but I do not want to use a thick cover-up foundation as without my freckles my face doesn't look right.

Please advise some good, relatively cheap, UK available products that I could use. I literally want something to replace the powder and maybe a cream blush, instead of the current powder blush that I use.

I appreciate your advice.

My beautiful Ceanothus bush has snapped in half - I assume due to the weight under the heavy rains last night. Is there any way to rescue this?
