Just got these guys from Spirit Halloween - I love them soooo much! But I would like to give them a wash, I’m not sure how I feel about washing them with their rubber faces though, especially because their eyes are hallow; any suggestions? Thank you!

I finally found a plushie but it’s in terrible shape, it’d need a lot of repairs but I’m wondering if it’s worth it? I just need to shout from the rooftops how thankful I am to my boyfriend, who took time away from his day just to make me happy so that I could secure all the Halloween drops I was interested in this year! I was stuck at work all day, but thanks to him I got every bear I was interested in, I wouldn’t have been able to do this without my love 💕
I’ve never wanted so many bears at one time from a Build-A-Bear drop before, BAB knew what they were doing and capitalized on it LOL. I got all three tarantula sizes, I got the bat keychain and mini bean, I got a batty kitty, and I ordered the giant bat (I got the standard bat from the original drop but he deserved to be in this photo too lol)! I had been preparing since the leaks/drop to try and collect as many coupons as I could toward this purchase, and I need to say thank you to those that went out of their way to message me or reach out to offer any coupons that they didn’t plan on using, they were extremely appreciated and every little bit helped to fund my collection, you guys are amazingly generous and thoughtful 🩷
However, rant incoming..
My only grievance with this whole situation is my local workshops lack of clarity and accurate information. I’m still not quite over it and I just need to share.
I called the evening before to ask about how coupons could work, if I could use some old birthday ones that I just realized were expired before they were even given to me months prior, and if there would be enough stock of each item so I wouldn’t have to stress about staying up all night to secure my bears. I was assured over the phone by an employee I recognized and had great experiences with that there would be plenty of Halloween stock, that it wouldn’t run out until at least next week, etc. I’m pretty sure I asked about the keychains in my inquiry too, so this made me feel better knowing everything would be there when I could visit in the evening. They said they would be able to honor my old birthday coupon, and because my purchase would be so big they might be able to offer the $25 off a $200 purchase, on that coupon, but as it was for a party I’d have to come in person to see if that were possible. I wanted to use as many of my coupons as I could at once, especially the $200 one, plus I wanted to order the giant bat and was told I could do it all at once in store. So, feeling assured stock would be there by the end of the day still, I held off, and continued with my day as normal. The next day, I’m working and browsing the BAB website during my down time, and I notice the bat keychain is out of stock online. A little worried that it’s selling fast I call my local BAB back, and I’m speaking to a female employee now. I ask her if they can hold a keychain, as I see they’re selling fast, and now I’m worried there won’t be many in store. I’m told no, they can’t do that, they’re too busy, I have to order online. I explained I can’t, they’re out of stock. I said I was assured by an employee the day before that there would be plenty in stock so I wouldn’t have to stress, now she’s telling me there is only a couple left in store. I was frustrated, she said to search by their location through the BAB website and order that way, but as far as I could tell you can’t order that way, it just tells you how many the store has in stock. I understand they’re busy, it was expected, and that she’s not the same employee I talked to, but this is why I called the day before to ensure everything would be in order and I don’t have to worry. Maybe the employee I spoke to was misinformed, or misunderstood me, but I hate being told one thing just to find out the opposite on the day of a very limited event, I should have trusted my gut and just ordered the morning of. All the employee could say was they’re too busy right now, and I had to sigh and say “Okay, thank you” and hang up.
I vented to my boyfriend about this just to vent, no expectations, and he took it upon himself to use his lunch time to drive 20 minutes to my local workshop, and buy everything on his card. Of course I paid him back but the fact my beautiful hearted boyfriend understood my grievance (we’re both very passionate collectors of our own interests), and wanted to ensure I got what I asked for, meant so freaking much. It wasn’t even the stuff, I had accepted the circumstances when I vented to him that I’ll just take what I can get when I visited BAB after work, but the fact he just want to make me happy because he understood how limited launches go, meant a lot. I am so lucky.
So, I didn’t get to even try to use my $200 coupon like I had hoped, because they told my boyfriend they can’t order online exclusives in store (even though I was told they could the day before-) but oh well. I got what I asked for, more than I had hoped because of my extremely dedicated and loving boyfriend. However, I will say thank you to the employee that held a spider keychain for me (same employee I spoke to the day before) around the time when they sold out online too. It was the one thing I failed to ask my boyfriend to pickup, totally my bad, and he called them back (without my asking) and stated his case that he got everything but the keychain, and the employee was nice enough to hold one since they were only TWO left. If it weren’t for my boyfriend and the considerate employee, I would have missed out on the smaller plushies, surely.
Maybe I sound like a Karen, completely understandable, but I just wanted to get this experience of my chest. I have issues being told different things in stressful situations because of my work as I’m often told one “truth” from another in my job, and to have that happen with a BAB launch I was super passionate about really did not add to my ease. Again, maybe the person I spoke to the day before was misinformed/misunderstood, the second employee was surely overwhelmed and could only do so much, but it just sucks, that’s all. I got plenty to love thanks to my absolutely amazing boyfriend, and that’s the best outcome of this situation, thank you my love 💖

Very curious - I used to go to the bins a lot, but I’d spend around maybe $10-15 on average, but now that I work full time I might go once every other week and only on the weekend. I’m curious what other peoples’ bin routines look like!
Authentic or not doesn’t matter to me, I love them so much 💞, but curiosity is getting the best of me lol! It just makes me wonder how someone could trade such a cute little guy - while well loved they seem like great quality and I wanted this exact and only variant out of the set! He will be getting some touch ups to clean his scuffed printing <3 I’m not a collector and they will be my one and only prized Stitch Miniso!!! 🩵✨ I still can’t believe I found them at a new trinket box that just opened in my neighborhood!
