Assigning film genres to akumatized villains
It's a fun concept I wanted to do after seeing the genres present on Letterboxd. I'm also curious if you have any suggestions.

On one hand, perhaps especially around Gen 6-7, it could be interesting if Ash did not have a starter and that this would allow for more diversity in his team.
On the other hand, I think there's very little chance because the starters are there for marketing purposes.
Currently, Japan is facing two European teams (France and England) and one African team (Nigeria) in its group stage. It would be extremely cool if Japan could face teams from other continents. Here are my predictions:
-South America - > High Chance
(I'm almost certain Japan will face a South American team. Given the format, there's even a good chance it will be Brazil in the round of 32.)
-North America - > Mid Chance
(North America may not be considered a strong football continent, but something tells me there might be a chance of seeing a North American team against BL)
-Asia - > Low Chance
(I would love to see another Asian team besides Japan, but I think there's little chance of that happening.)
For me, it's totally Ash VS Casey. But I think Alain VS Remo is also an honorable mention.
11 would obviously be the perfect number. However, I fully understand that it's difficult to make all 22 players feel important. Football is an 11v11 sport, compared to basketball which is 5v5, it is obviously much more difficult to have major characters in a sports manga match.
In my opinion, I think it would be good if it were 6/5, at least half of a team. But I think it also needs to be distributed fairly between positions: if all the star players on an opposing team are midfielders and forwards, the defense is obviously empty. Although that's really the case in Blue Lock, there's still no truly strong opposing goalkeeper (considering that since BL vs U20, we haven't had a match where both goalkeepers made saves during the same game).
For me, I never except Ash to have a Glalie (Especially since Ash never had another Ice-type Pokémon after him. But I think he was an excellent choice as the 6th member of his Hoenn team). I wasn't expecting Boldore either, but I have a lot of affection for this Pokémon because it's one of my favorite Pokémon from Unova.
For me, it's clearly Reflekta. We've seen Juleka get akumatized at least 7 times over 5 seasons. And it's always been Reflekta. I never want to see her again.
A random concept I wanted to do: assigning film genres to manga characters. I tried to do my best and here is my list:
-ACTION with Kunigami (In this instance, I could only choose our orange-haired superhero, even though this mostly corresponds to the old Kunigami. Technically, Onazi could also be a good choice.)
-HORROR with Rin (It was a pretty easy choice)
-FANTASY with Ness (The choice was also very easy given Ness's connection to magic.)
-ADVENTURE with Gagamaru (I think it fits well with our friend of the bears, or destroyer of the bears, depending on how you look at it.)
-ROMANCE with Kaiser (Honestly, I don't know why I chose our German striker, but strangely enough, I think it suits him well, especially since love is a major theme for the character.)
-SCIENCE FICTION with Hugo ( Hugo's Volume pose kinda simulates a three-fingered robot hand. It is usually seen in science fiction robots.)
-+18 with Adam (Yes, films that aren't very friendly for kids are also considered a film genre.)
-THRILLER with Isagi (Idk. Instinct I guess.)
I'm open to other suggestions and choices, especially for genres I haven't covered, like comedy for example.
Knowing that there are teams of Ash or there are pokemons that are the same type (like Hawlucha and Talonflame for Kalos, Lucario and Sirfetch'd for Journeys).
I have the impression that it was intentional that Ash didn't have any other Electric-type Pokémon. Not even a dual-type Pokémon.
One thing that can be observed is that the captain of a nation has always been an important figure during the match.
We can see this with Aiku and Japan, Kuso and Nigeria, Loki and France.
I am sure that each captain will be a major character because it is very easy to make a leader an important character in an opposing team. To be honest, I would like the future captains that Japan will face not necessarily to be NG11.
Given that it surprised me that we didn't see a captain's armband during the NEL, I would also like, for example, for the captains of England, Germany or even Spain to be completely new characters.
Actually, I'm surprised, but I appreciate Simpleman much more after watching it a second time.
I find it ironic that of all Ash's companions, the last one we saw on screen has the least screen time in the entire show. But hey, Tracey the goat 🥳!
In every national team, there is always a vice-captain: he is a bit like a second in command, he is the one who captains the team when the usual captain is not playing.
If Aiku were to get injured, for example, who do you think could wear the captain's armband?
In this case, I think Isagi or Karasu seem like the obvious choice (especially with the match against France).
For me, it's mostly all the fan-made videos of Adrien/Marinette akumatized that were made before S2. They haven't aged well, but I still kind of like them.
Is an ace defined solely by strength?
After all, some consider Krokodile and Heracross to be aces in view of their fight despite their lack of storyline like Infernape and Greninja.
What about Pikachu?
I wonder if Pikachu has always been Ash's ace. Then, the region's Pokémon can be considered the Regional Ace.
Can there be multiple aces in the same team?
After all, that's why there's always a debate between Incineroar and Lycanroc about who is the ace of Alola... Or maybe they should both be considered aces.
I'm curious to hear your opinions.
I don't know if it's just me, but I feel like the Blue Lock community changed a lot between the beginning and the end of the NEL arc, but I don't know how to explain it. Like, there was a really different vibe and atmosphere that we don't find in the other previous arcs, which is both good and bad.
I don't know what words to describe it and maybe I'm overthinking it, but I think it's mainly towards Ubers and PXG that there has been a kind of turning point.
For my part, I really like Penalteam (largely because I love football). Seeing superpowers used in a football match thrills me 😅. I also really like Re Creation.
Even in other anime (Yugioh, Beyblade...), the protagonist is always on the right side for the majority of time.
It is very rare that Ash is on the left side (I believe one of the rare times was when Ash faced Leon during their first fight).
Currently, apart from Kaiser who has Metavision + Predator Eye, we have :
-Metavision users (Hugo)
-Predator Eye users (Loki)
And it wouldn't shock me if it were said that Sae and Lorenzo have Metavision. Technically, it wouldn't be shocking if Bunny possessed the Predator Eye either.
Furthermore, if we exclude Kaiser, we might have 5 NG11s Metavision users and 5 NG11 Predator Eye users for my theory. But we can also have other NG11s in the same situation as Kaiser.
However, it might be interesting to have a NG11 that has neither Metavision nor Predator Eye. Perhaps there will be something else. I'm also curious to see the Metavision or Predator Eye used by a NG11 GK if there is one.
Even seasons 1 and 2 didn't respect this, I imagine the show will never have the luck of having episodes in good order for a single season.
