French style yogurt - am I supposed to cover the individual jars?

I'm making french style yogurt in individual La Fermiere jars. I've searched online and found conflicting information about whether or not I'm supposed to cover the individual jars. If I am supposed to cover the jars, there's conflicting info about whether to cover loosely with foil, or cover tightly with the silicone lids I bought to seal them when I put them in the fridge to cool. I've made it covered and uncovered, and can't taste the difference, but am wondering if there's a food safety reason that it should be covered while fermenting?

If you make yogurt in individual jars (rather than in a big mason jar or directly in the Instant Pot, for example), do you cover the jars while they ferment or leave them open?

ProGear N95 - duckbill mask that fits kids

Sharing in case anyone else has been on the hunt for a duckbill mask that fits kids. My 10 year old generally uses Savewo or Blue Tiger 3D masks, but complains that it touches her mouth when she talks. My preferred mask is a duckbill because it doesn't touch my mouth but I haven't been able to find any that are small enough for her.

I ordered the ProGear N95 in small and this thing is TINY. It's actually slightly too small for my small-framed 10 year old (mostly because the straps are too tight - the mask itself fits well), and my 7 year old almost fits in it. If it would be helpful to others I can take a picture of it compared to an ACI and Halyard mask.

Beesure masks - astm level 3 boat mask same as kf94??

My kid's dental technician was wearing this mask in a fun color, it's from Beesure https://ecobeeworld.com/radiant-face-masks-2/

I found it for about 30 cents a mask which is a great price for a colored mask, but looking at the specs it's ASTM level 3 and not KF94. I had assumed it would be kf94 because of the shape. I did a search on mobile reddit and couldn't find any info on these masks. Would this mask be equivalent to a kf94/kn95 level protection since it is shaped to fit the face better than a baggy surgical?

I'm really hoping so because I can't seem to find colored masks for anything less than $1.50, and I like to have them on hand for work events because they look more approachable (people treat me better) than the more medical looking white masks.

First tablet weaving project with materials I had on hand

My kid broke a shoelace and rather than buy a new one I took the opportunity to learn a new fiber art 😆 Jerry rigged a setup with stuff I already had. Homemade cards, paper bone folders for beating, stitch bow embroidery floss holder as a shuttle, a ring thing I use for flashcards to keep the cards in order when I have to move the warp.

Figuring out how to tension the warp was the hardest. Ended up using this paracord bracelet jig that can be lifted up at an angle, it's much easier on my neck than tying it to a chair leg and sitting on the floor.

It has so many mistakes and my tension is a mess. But cobbling together this setup was fun and I'm excited to actually try to do a shoelace with thinner cotton crochet.

I've made a few variations of this bracelet, using everything from embroidery thread to crochet thread to (this one) satin rattail and Chinese knitting cors. My first one was meh and wonky with the tension and finishing. Switching to the satin for the flowers made a big difference, and I think I'm settling on this adjustable loop/bead closure as a go-to.

Let me know what you think! And if anyone has suggestions for how to neaten up my finishing, would love tips. This metallic cord is very pretty but it doesn't melt, and fabric glue doesn't work, so I'm using nail polish to keep it from fraying after cutting it but there's got to be a better way. The satin cord does melt but because of the thickness I'm worried that it will undo itself - how can I make it more secure?
