Dyson’s MegaDelve

I’ve been looking over Dyson’s MegaDelve and I am planning on running it as an open table in the near future. For people who have played it, what entrances did you first introduce the players to? Is there anything about the dungeon before running it?

How reusable are these random encounters?

I just got the monster overhaul and I am enjoying this book for a lot of reasons. One of them is its random encounter tables. I was curious how reusable these are at the table. In your experience, do these need to be replaced once run? If so, how do you all usually go about coming up with new encounters?

A few questions:

I have greatly enjoyed playing Mythic Bastionland this far and love the omens mechanic, though I did have a few questions:

  1. It seems like many of the myths tend to self resolve. You go through the encounters, then the changing disappears into another dimension, the snail moves on, the dread beast kills itself, etc. It feels like the relatively little permanent change happens as a result of (some) of these myths and that the players are more passive observers. Am
    I missing something about these?

  2. Almost the opposite question. I have one situation, where I have gone through all 6 omens of the Toad, and now the things are set for a major war between the toad and the current seat of power, plus the PCs. We all consider the myth to be unresolved, but what should I do for future omen rolls until it is resolved?

Kevin Crawford’s Character Titles

I have been a huge fan of the location tags in Kevin Crawford’s Worlds Without Number. I heard from Earthmote that his book Atlas of Latter Earth also includes a list of character tags. I am very interested in the character tags roll table, but as I have learned about the book, I am not sure I would find much use for the other materials in the book. I am sure they are well written, but I am happy enough with the worldbuilding roll tables WWN provides that I don’t really feel I need a world book to mine from. Does he have a character tags roll table like this in another product or does anyone know of anything like this elsewhere?
