Some different fungi in a pine grove!
I went to a local park with some easy mountain bike trails with my 9 year old and saw several different types of mushrooms and wanted to share!

And it felt pretty awesome 😅 Props to my wife and daughter for the support and claps. Also came super close to completing a fakie! Thanks to this subreddit for the support and information, watching you guys do these crazy tricks just gives me encouragement to keep practicing even though I’m an old head.
Watching this video in slomo and frame by frame I see I’ve got potential to clear the jump. Looking forward to going back when I’ve got some time off to keep practicing. Slow progress is still progress!
Tips and suggestions are appreciated!
Second year with this awesome plant! This summer has really brought out the deep reds. Wondering when would be a good time to split the plant into individual pots? There looks to be 3-4 areas of new growth/dividing.
No fertilizer or hand feeding and only 1 dormancy period. Feeling pretty happy about the growth!
I picked up this unique piece and it came with other specimens simply labeled zeolites. I’m definitely not an expert with minerals/crystals but I think I see some prehnite or peridot? The pink crystals look similar to gypsum? Also possibly some quartz? I shined a UV flashlight and nothing glowed if that helps!
Minding my business trying to get home today and got behind this black Maxima. I should have braked and stayed back when I noticed the light was yellow but that specific light sucks and I was ready to eat dinner.
I locked my tires up twice and had to swerve multiple times to avoid rear ending him. Quite the experience, 0/10 don’t recommend! I did call dispatch after the clip ends.
I encourage every single person watching this to get a dash camera, mine was like $50 on Amazon. Stay aware!
*pic for traction*
I’ve been practicing my j/bunny hops, fakies, and manuals for about a month now. Seems like every time I finish riding, my handlebars get pulled back towards me.
I accidentally stripped the allen screw for my seat post but was able to use a similar length, same sized screw from another bike. I want to avoid stripping my 4 stem screws every time I adjust my handlebars, any suggestions or suggestions?
*edit* Should have mentioned the bike is only a month old and was ordered through DansComp so everything was 90% assembled before I got it. I have tightened the stem screws in a cross/X pattern but they are still loose.
Hey there everyone! I got a bunch of mixed, natural zeolites and noticed this specific piece has prehnite(?) mixed in.
Is prehnite a good guess as to what this is?
What are some ways to clean the white material off?
Thanks in advance!
I know MTN bikes are far more popular here but I’m getting back into BMX and wanted to see if there’s anyone here that rides. I know Rocky Knob has the pump track and there’s a small cement skatepark in Ashe county. Mountain City has/had a skatepark too but I haven’t been there in almost 10 years.
This subreddit has been a great resource for reading and researching about what bike will fit my needs best! Going to purchase a complete bike within a month and I’ve been checking the common bmx retailers.
•citygrounds
•danscomp
•albes
•sourcebmx
•probmxbikes
Are there any other reputable retailers I missed?
I’m located in the US, east coast fyi.
I’ve called my local bike shops and they all only specialize in MTN bikes. I’d love to shop local but don’t think it’s a viable option for me.
Thanks in advance!
An 8 ball and some whiskey 😂
Haven’t played this game since 2008 when I was in my late 20s. Going back now and playing all the DLC for the first time is such a fun experience!
The subways are a bit less scary now too 😅
