Summary: History remembers Joffrey I Lannister-Baratheon not as the petulant boy who tore the realm apart but as the monarch who forged it anew. Obsessed with the ambiguous concepts of legacy, duty, faith and embracing his proud Westerlander heritage, a very pragmatic young prince takes his throne after the death of King Robert I Baratheon. History remembers him as the King who shaped not just his dynasty, but the realm, the world and indeed, an era.
Hi everyone! I just wanted to promote my story. I wish to emphasise that this is not an SI. This is an alternate Joffrey who has his own character, strengths, flaws, and beliefs. I initially was playing Pax Historia as Joffrey but soon stopped it and started writing this instead. Also any technological uplift will be limited and would have to follow a logical progression rather than the MC just knowing technological. This story is more focused on political and financial reforms that a sharp Westerosi King can plausibly think of, rather than technological uplift. Also the character isn't magical; he is an intelligent and skilled person, yes, but he is very much limited like the rest of us. This is not going to be Joffrey using magic to triumph over everyone either. Instead, while magic is pretty unavoidable due to certain enemies, he himself has no such abilities (or indeed, interest in pursuing sorcery). So instead, he is going to win his battles purely through diplomacy, martial skills, political intuition, and, at times, sheer luck. I would love for you all to give it a read and provide your opinion. Feel free to provide constructive criticism too; I am not a person who views well-intentioned criticism as a personal insult and would love it a lot. Cheers!
