Companies with good WLB?

I have a PhD in AI and am in a real need for change of jobs. I also have a 16m old and plan to have another baby in the next year or so. Anyone have any recommendations for tech companies with good WLB and hybrid options in the NY area (3 days in office)? It seems like a shit show pretty much everywhere.

Planning baby #2

We have a 15 month old and wanted a 2-2.5y age gap. We were also hoping to try for a summer baby.

Now the issue is, my sister is getting married internationally end of this year and that'll mean lots of travel for us (even domestic) within a span of 2 weeks (think 6-8 flights). It seems like that's probably not ideal for first trimester. We have also had a miscarriage before my first at 10w and that was one of the worst times of our lives.

If we get pregnant right after the wedding, we would still hit late summer, early fall and a 2.5y age gap. But TTC doesn't always work in our favor.

Any tips on how to optimize this whole situation? Would this much travel in first trimester be really horrible? I am honestly just dumping my thoughts here.

Start 17 months or 21 months?

My son is currently 14 months and we found a great Montessori academy close to us. We are debating between starting him in September (17 months) or January (21 months). We have some travel in November-December. So if he does start in September, he will go for 2.5 months before the travel and then be back in January.

He has been at home so far with parents/grandparents. I'm worried about the transition and also want to minimize emotional impact on him (if any). Any recommendations from personal experiences?

Weaning off feeding to sleep

My 13mo has fed to sleep majority of his life. He's now down to 3 feeds a day - before two naps and bedtime. He still comfort feeds during the night after his first long stretch. I feel ready to wean him off but have no idea how to stop feeding to sleep. Do we offer him a cup of whole milk before each nap and bedtime? He does get whole milk with his dinner so he's used to that. Then what? Bounce him to sleep? Any suggestions would be helpful, thank you!
