I (24F) broke up with my girlfriend

I was struggling with this for a while. I recently came back to the Lord after spending years away and while I was away I started dating this girl. I loved her, but after returning to Christ, being around her just made me feel odd. I really struggled with it for so long and I didn’t know what to do because I didn’t want to hurt her but I just felt off about the whole thing.

Today I finally broke up with her. I feel like a weight has been lifted. I prayed about it for so long and I know what the Lord was leading me to do.

I just don’t have anyone to talk to about it so I thought here would be a good place. My family doesn’t follow Christ like I do (something I am working on) and they just don’t understand why we broke up. I guess I just wanted to say it to people who understood and let it be real. I turned away from sin today and I am really proud of myself and I want to shout it from the rooftop!

I [26F] feel stuck in my relationship [28M]

I [26F] have been with my fiancé [28M] for 3 years now. We have always been long distance because he was at school in another state but recently I have been feeling like I may be starting to resent him.

He has a chronic condition that will probably only get better with surgery which we cannot afford and will not be able to for a couple years. I have been trying my best not to feel overwhelmed by it, because I know it is far more overwhelming for him but I am struggling.

I went to visit him for a week and I felt like I couldn’t wait for the week to be over which felt so awful because we used to be so good together. I keep reminding myself once he feels better we will be good again but it’s making me so anxious. On top of all of that he has a lot of insecurity and he keeps trying therapy but always something goes wrong with it and he stops.

I want to say I love him. I feel like I do but I am wondering if that’s lingering feelings because I don’t want to be around him and shouldn’t I want to be around the person I love. I just feel like a terrible person who is so stuck.

Is it wrong wanting to try to wait it out? What do I do? Do you think it’ll get better if he gets the help he really needs. He is such a good person and I hate feeling like this.
