Hello, we got an interior design company to go and look at the flat, they provided 3d images, and visited the flat and one hour discussion with them. We are still deciding whether to interior design the flat or sell it but given this woman's attitude, I don't want to go with this vendor even if we keep the flat.
Question- are we expected to pay for the services they provided? If yes, what's a reasonable amount for tier 2 City?
We bought a 3 bedroom flat in tier 2 City in Karnataka pre construction (1 crore). Now that the flat is ready and my family visited it, they are not happy with it. Living room has a weird pillar in the middle of it, two pillars in two bedrooms, balcony is tiny, bedrooms only have space for a bed etc ...
We initially thought of turning it into an Airbnb but not sure if neighbors would complain or if it's even allowed. We haven't registered the place in our name yet.
Heading to India soon, few options;
Ask the developer for refund? Prices have gone up since when we bought it.
Keep it, invest 10 lacs to interior design it and get rs 20k rent per month. This is peanuts roi as we're living in Canada
Sell it and bring money to Canada (any idea how one does this?). This would really help with our current mortgage.
