High Lipoprotein A
I am a 30 year old female trying to conceive.
I recently had blood work done and my Lipoprotein A is quite elevated - 199 nmol/L
My lipid panel is only remarkable for mildly elevated LDL 103 mg/dl.
I have been an athlete all my life, and hitting all exercise guidelines year round since childhood. I strength train and do cardio 4-5 times per week. I maintain a healthy weight.
I eat a well balanced diet when considering the average American diet. I don’t smoke. I do drink socially.
Is there anything that I should be doing differently when it comes to my health, diet, and/or trying to conceive?
My maternal grandfather did die from a heart attack at age 59, and my paternal grandmother had a stroke in her 80s.
Thank you!
