Ambidextrous people allowed here?

I write and do most things with my left hand like eating. But all sports related things (except billiards) with the right.

Possible DVT?

Hello everyone I’m new to this. I’m an EMT so I know the severity of a pulmonary embolism.

Over the past week I’ve had a very intense full feeling in my knee that gets was worse when laying down and starts to turn into a dull ache, tingling in my lower leg and foot.

Does this sound concerning?

I’m only 20. I was gonna call my doctor tomorrow but wasn’t sure if I should wait until then.

Small rant

My poor kitty has been having skin issues for about a year now. He digs at his skin and rips his fur out. We’ve been to the vet 6 or so times, today being one of those times.

They don’t know what to do with him and are making us go to a dermatologist. Which is fine, it’s just all been so expensive.

They say it’s not related to his fiv but every time they put him on steroids he gets sick and I’m just getting so frustrated. We’ve tried so much, diets, baths, testing, skin scrapes, flea stuff. It just doesn’t work. And it’s impossible to get into these specialists around here in a timely fashion.

I just want my baby to feel better.

Has anyone had anything like this before?

Allergic reaction to methimazole.

Hello for context I was diagnosed at 15 with Graves’ disease. My levels were terrible t3 and t4 were through the roof and my tsh was nonexistent. I tested positive for antibodies and so on.

I started methimazole with no complications for about 3 weeks until I got severe joint swelling, hives and welts covering my body (including inside my mouth, between my toes, and other uncomfortable areas). I couldn’t even walk because the bottom of my feet felt like walking on golf balls they were that swollen. I looked like I gained 20 pounds in my hands as well. I went to the hospital after my lips started swelling.

They admitted me after transporting me to a different facility and after a few days I was diagnosed with drug induced lupus erythematosus. If was an absolutely terrible experience would not suggest lol.

For weeks after I had to stay indoors because any allergen would send my body into overdrive. Once I stopped the meds it completely went away within a few weeks.

Never had anything happen like that again
But I was curious if anybody else has experienced anything similar. My doctor said hives are normal but he had never seen this before.

It’s been 5 years and now I’m in remission after radiation so all is well. I’m not looking for advice just wanna know if anybody else has gone through this.

I’m also not saying this to scare anybody from this drug, my doctor calls me his one in a million because of this case. So super rare.
