My husband and I have been married for a year and living in NC(Fort Bragg) for 6 months. I am leaving the house soon because of all types of abuse. I cannot stay with him much longer before I start going bat shit crazy. I’ve been thinking about joining the Army or Air Force because I’ve been a stay at home wife. He hasn’t let me get a job, car, or go to school. If I join the military what will happen? Will he get some of my payment? Will he still stay at the house we currently own? I personally don’t want anything to do with him at all after this due to the control and the abuse. He has also cheated too.
