Day 2 & 3 of Tour de Fleece
So far so good! I’ve exceeded my goal each day!

So far so good! I’ve exceeded my goal each day!
My goals are to spin 50g a day on one of my wheels. I was able to do 56 g of Shaniko from Yarn Jam - color: Big Sis Energy. I also did the remaining 20g of Polwarth & Yak that I had to finish the single from Honey Gold Acres - color: Rainier.
Not a bad start to the tour
Second pic is of my goal for the tour. 🤞🏽😅😁
I found these outfits at Hobby Lobby! I was shocked to find that they had dog clothes. Ewa just loves to get dressed! The collar I got when we were traveling last month.
Just here to say I’m so glad to have found this sub! I look forward to swapping!
So our guard dog Ewa heroically protected us from blowing leaves, loud and obnoxious wind and the occasional ground hog. When I interrupted her duty to take a photo I was promptly rewarded with side eye. The photos are shared in order. 🤭🤣😁
The pattern is Dubbel Dark by Thea Coleman. The yarn is my polwarth/yak/silk undyed handspun. It feels amazing on and I hope to be able to wear it in the summer.

This is the Ferndale shawl that I began on January 5, 2026. She turned out to be bigger than I anticipated. She’s not done drying but I had to show y’all! There are hundreds of tiny sequins knitted in there. I tried to capture some of the gorgeous glints of gold. Thanks for letting me share.
My 16 week old Shih Tzu enjoys sitting in my lap when I’m spinning. However, she also likes to put half her body on one arm. Negotiations to stop this behavior are on going. I’m currently spinning a BFL/Tussah Silk blend which is really easy and requires almost no help. Fiber tax included
Little miss Ewa loves to sit in my lap when I’m spinning. I wonder if it’s the vibration or the movement of my feet. The funny thing is, she always has to lay on top of one arm. Trying to persuade her not to do this hasn’t worked yet. Regardless I think it’s adorable.
The watercolors are Deep Deep Light and Masha’s
Clearly she has a rough life.
My sweet girl jumped off the couch and gained a hairline fracture of her left front humerus. A couple weeks in a cast plus lots and lots and a little bit more of crate rest - et voilá! I’m still being watchful though she is a puppy after all!
My son and daughter in law are expecting my first grandson! When I made this quilt I had no idea that they were having a boy. I was thrilled that they decided to display it at the gender reveal. I found the fabric with the little dragon faces on it and then built a quilt around it. It is 54” x 54” The quilt store had made a similar one so they were able to help me with fabric choices etc. I’m a fairly new quilter, so there are mistakes but the baby won’t notice. 😉🤭😁
This Shaniko dyed by Zephyr Creek Farm. 114g on her “Rodanthe” Base. The name of the fiber is what caught my eye - Midnight Rainbow. It turned out well. I haven’t wound it up so I don’t have exact numbers. It feels like a sport weight.
This is a paint along tutorial by Beatriz Fedele in her Patreon. I used Deep deep light watercolors and it is painted in a repurposed vintage book by Bone Sketch Studios
I came across a Leuchtturm1917 sketchbook in a square format. The paper is cotton 150gsm. It feels smooth like hot press. I was curious to see how it would take water. It takes light washes well. It forces me to use lighter washes and to practice less is more. Also, it is teaching me to stop trying to “fix” things. The photo is one my friend shot in a German arboretum
This is so much fun! Now to figure out seaming!
I’ve held on to this fiber for about a year and now I’m finally working with it. I am so pleased with how its spinning up. The fiber is dyed by Spindelicious and it is Targhee, Bamboo & Silk. I am spinning the singles at about a fine (14 wpi). I have almost 700g so I’m hoping to spin it fine enough to do a lacy sweater that I can wear during the summer. But best laid plans and all I’m going to let the finished yarn tell me what it wants to be.
This is CVM with silk. I’m spinning it with my supported spindles.
