I need to pick your brains on which clone or original to go for?

Alright. Please bear with me. I need to know yes / no / which options for a few things which I need actual people's input on.

I have wanted a MiSTer since they came out essentially. And now there are other options too. I want it for pretty much all the cores it has to offer really. What I mostly want to know is regarding display output. What hardware has / what can have VGA output? And from that what hardware with suitable firmware / cores (that actually exist) supports Y/C, 15KHz RGBS analog and CGA output (with suitable level / other adapters of course). EGA would be a bonus but I don't know if there would be enough signal lines for that.
Essentially I want to be able to use suitable monitors with the cores. Or at least suitable classes of monitor to save a lot of swapping around.
Added bonus if there's a fairly easy way to graft one into a JAMMA cabinet. It'd almost be worth me getting a second one specifically for that.

I've been seeing things like the HamGeek version has trouble with more complex cores. Is this true? If the cores are compatible I can't imagine why.

I've got a lot of old hardware. It's not getting any younger and neither am I. I'd like to be able to use my stuff, or at least decent simulations of it without needing to shuffle everything in and out of where they are stored. Also I can't overlook it as an FPGS development platform. It looks pretty complete to me.

I welcome any input. Because I'm having trouble finding quality information about video standard compatibility.

Adding to that I have no trouble making my own hardware so I'm not fazed by needing to make active adapters or whatever.

Is in person or phone the only contact options?

I really, desperately need to have a conversation with someone in Centrelink but I have an issue. Short version, my son. He's in his teens and I'm his carer and I'll say he's a handful. if he hears me on the phone he starts demanding to know who it is and everything that's being said, and progressively gets more abusive and violent. In meetings he gets bored quickly, starts complaining and causing trouble.

The why: I have a complex mess on my hands. Both my parents passed away and probate has recently been approved, landing on my lap. The assets are a mess, property assessment is a mess and I haven't got a clue handle any of it from a government perspective. I've been working on dealing with it every spare moment for ages, and using the remaining super for paying debts, fees and bills associated with the estates.

Short version is I'm scared we'll be cut off from everything when right now all I'm staring at is a horde of liabilities. And I can't talk to anybody to help me un-fck it. I need help with asset and income stuff, property valuation and general guidance.

Aussie trying to work out which Telstra plan phone

They have an EOFY sale that's brought some phones into better reach. My main two contenders are the Samsung Galaxy S26 and the Motorola Signature.

Unfortunately I rely heavily on my phone day to day. lots of phone calls, plus emails, messages and the occasional Teams meeting when I'm not home, plus a wide variety of awful apps that I need to use, and having a lot of docs with me. Plus it can be used for many hours on end for navigation in the car.
I don't need the AI features that the Samsung touts, nor do I have other Samsung devices currently for it's ecosystem support. I usually use the Google apps over whatever are supplied too.

Both of these two phones have positives and negatives. The most important ones are here. Other unlisted items are preferences that don't really matter that much.

In both cases OLED based displays are a must. I need to use it outdoors in full sun a lot and TFT just doesn't cut it.

I don't play games on mobile because I think using a touchscreen for control is utterly atrocious.

The signature has arguably better battery tech and capacity, plus a larger screen. However the curved edge makes me very nervous. I had a Samsung with a curved screen that didn't last a week. It fell onto a blanket on my wood floor from my bedside drawers.
It also has a less power hungry SoC. The S26 for our market has the Exynos 2600.
The cooling tech appeals to me because I've had issues with every phone going into thermal shutdown. usually when passively sitting, in my pocket, or using GPS. The weather can get hot.

The S26 has the Telstra Blue Tick, meaning it has better reception in marginal areas. It also apparently supports satellite messaging and 5G SA & NSA whereas apparently the Signature doesn't support NSA or satellite messaging according to the Telstra comparison. Although I'm not sure either is true.
The S26 also has better tough cases like the Otterbox available.

What I don't know about either is what the mic sensitivity and speaker volume for both on ear and speakerphone are.

I was leaning heavily to the Signature, even after finding there isn't as diverse of choice with cases. The lack of blue Tick however makes me very nervous.

I'd appreciate suggestions of which, or even if there is another alternative I missed in the lineup.
