Hi Everyone,

I'm not on here much, but wondered if anyone would consider signing this? It's asking the government to stop referring to ADHD as a mental health condition. I've included text below. It requires 5 to officially go live, but I believe the system will transfer any additional signatures. Text and link of the petition are below::

"In recent years ADHD, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, has frequently been referred to as a Mental Health condition; it is not. We are simply asking that accurate medical definitions are followed when this condition is discussed in parliament.

Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder is a life changing and complex neurodevelopmental condition in which individuals have difficulty maintaining focus, managing a budget, and completing household tasks. Although ADHD makes one more susceptible to mental health conditions, it is not one in itself.

We simply ask parliament to use the correct terms "neurodevelopmental condition" or "neurodivergent condition" which more accurately describes ADHD."
