If anyone's formally withdrawn from Jadavpur UG Engineering B. Tech, could you please dm me?😭 I'm joining a different institution and I tried to withdraw at JU today but two of the people who had to sign on the withdrawal form aren't here because it's heavily raining. A rep also said I had to go to the KMR at salt lake? Is this the regular process? Also, is there anyone who has joined a different institution without withdrawing from JU? I know it isn't technically possible but I have to go to NIT tomorrow itself for final admission and I do not have my school leaving certificate but I have the migration so can I still take admission or will I be sent back? PLEASE respond if you have ANY information whatsoever‼️🙏😭

Slight chances for NIT DGP Mechanical as well, but nothing is certain this year :/

I am not deciding based on placement data as I will be pursuing higher studies. The branches I would have preferred (if it was a choice) are electrical and mechanical. I'm also a dropper. A bit reluctant to join Jadavpur Civil because I didn't leave BITSH Civil last year to join this but if we're judging by the inconsistent NIRF rankings; JU is pretty high up and its tag is valuable. But I do want to study mechanical engineering, and it's very difficult, if at all possible, to branch into that for masters from civil.

How do they compare? What are the pros and cons of choosing one over the other? How can each affect my future opportunities? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!🤝
