Drivers not turning on the AC

Seriously it's not like they're paying for it why do so many drivers insist on keeping it off???? I've had to go up and ask drivers several times to turn it on.

It might be 70 degrees outside but it isn't 70 degrees in the giant metal can sitting in the sun- especially the electric buses with no openable windows.

Thinking back on heavy periods in school

I had very heavy periods growing up and all I can remember is how much of a nightmare it made school and how adults failed to help me.

- Bathroom breaks
We'd only have a set amount of bathroom "passes" to use in our planners so I'd frequently run out and just have to pray I didn't bleed through. Which I often did. I still remember how humiliating it was to walk out after school with my pants bloodied.

- Trying to change pads during passing time
We were given roughly 5 minutes to pass between classes and I'd be in the bathroom fumbling to clean my blood and change my pad then make it to my next class in time. I received after school detentions for being late over and over again.

Never in a million years would I even fathom there could be accommodations or anything around this kind of thing as a kid so I just endured it.

Cars always turning into me in crosswalks

Just had an older lady almost ram into me and my dog while we were going through a crosswalk. It's so infuriating that there is NO delay for cars at most lights- instead pedestrians are just forced to cross at the same as vehicles are released to turn.

Cars end up either trying to beat me into the crosswalk, partially turn so their vehicle is aimed right at me so I have to guess if they're about to mow me down or wait, or aren't paying attention whatsoever and just go for the turn anyway as I'm in the crosswalk.

Waiting for MetroTransit to remove fences around new stops be like:

**shelters

Seriously it's been weeks since they put new ones up in downtown Saint Paul. Why is it taking so long for them to be open for use?!

Clicker training worked for us!

My Pomeranian is about 1 year old and didn't get socialized much as a puppy. He was VERY reactive on leash in public and would growl, snarl, rear up, etc. as he pulled forward towards dogs, people, kids, strollers. It was super embarrassing and felt like I could never get his attention back on me once it started.

I bought a cheap clicker and dog treat pouch combo on Amazon and he's done a complete 180!

I started off just getting him associated that clicker=treat. Clicked, waited for him to look at me, gave treat, clicked, waited for him to look at me, gave treat, about 20 times.

Took him on the trail with a pouch of tiny cut up hot dogs and every time we'd see a dog I'd move off to the side and click, wait for him to look at me, treat, repeat. I'd throw it into the grass so he had to sniff around and search for it, further distracting. Now, I also get him to sit, paw, and lay down for them.

We're about two weeks in and he's doing great. He still gets a little upset at more abnormal things like people standing still, people crouched, sat down, etc. but his reactivity is MUCH more subdued and getting better by the day.
