Locations for Defiance Tactical and Morozov Pyrotechnic Horizon in 4.8?

I've done a little research on where to find these already, I've heard that Defiance Tactical core and arms spawns on security guards at some Stanton bunkers, but this is the only one that had fairly recent info on this (that might already be outdated). I actually looted a Pyrotechnic Horizon core at some point, but I have ZERO idea where I found it because it was something I picked up being a loot goblin one point or another and was I assume pure luck out of a large armor container in a random location.

So, does anyone know definite up-to-date locations to get all the parts of each of these sets?

Mainly asking because I lost my Pyrotechnic Horizon chest thanks to the prison bug that deletes all your gear... (no, I can't get it back by returning to prison, I tried, it was EXTREMELY hard to even get back to prison in the first place and had to get a bounty hunter to come kill me which shardlocked me for some reason too)

What ship would you want to customize a variant for?

The Prowler is my favorite ship concept in the game, mostly because it's a larger ship with great stealth and looks really unique. The interior layout is actually pretty good, but it feels completely underutilized to me and could be such a perfect daily driver ship if it weren't a barebones dropship or scuffed utility ship. There is an entire "engineering" compartment on the Utility that is big enough to easily fit a bed and Origin-style shower toilet, even a small kitchenette for RP stuff.

I would give up most or all of the dropship/utility parts of the ship to have a Prowler variant that was simply the base Prowler, but with a bed, shoilet, weapon rack, personal storage, and maybe 8-16 SCU of cargo to use as a daily driver. They could seal off the side doors and utilize that space for it like a small apartment sort of like the Cutter, even. I really just want to be able to fly this ship all the time and log out in it if I want too. The interior design is perfect for it, the ship looks great, and the dogfighting ability is already in "generalist" territory as it is.

I'd also be into a "medical" variant that's a copypaste of the Cutlass Red, throw in a T3 medbed instead of the cargo bay/jumpseats, a shoilet, beds and small living space. But I feel like a medbed on a medium ship with S5 guns is asking a bit much.

Thinking about this made me wonder what other ships people really enjoy but don't get to use as much as they'd like because of design limitations. What ships would you convert into a "generalist" or even a more niche variant instead? (I'll put a bet on the Shiv being a popular one because it's my second choice)

Best way to control a laptop directly from a desktop PC with low/zero latency?

update: If anyone else is looking for an answer to this, I've found Moonlight and Sunshine work extremely well and are extremely simple to set up. They have no noticeable latency for me from what I can tell and are more or less native looking for the actual quality of the streaming.

tl;dr: I want to control my laptop that is physically right next to my desktop PC through my desktop, with full access/control of both at the same time and as little latency as possible. What is the most simple solution to accomplish this?

----

I have a laptop that has much better specs than my current desktop PC and I would like to use it for some newer games that my desktop struggles with, basically just wanting to use its hardware as a substitute. My desktop has all of my daily usage things on it and it's an all-around much better setup to use and game on.

I don't want to swap around all my cables, like disconnecting a monitor to connect to the laptop and swapping my mouse/keyboard to the laptop, because then I can't control my main PC at the same time. I also can't use Windows remote desktop because I don't have Windows Pro edition, and I'd also like to have as little latency and full resolution from my laptop.

I've looked into some options such as Parsec or a capture card, but Parsec seems to require a payment/subscription and is more than I really need, and with a capture card I'd get the same result by just connecting my laptop to one of my monitors and swapping my keyboard/mouse to my laptop which would make me unable to use my desktop.

Surely there is some simple solution to this? Like it should be possible in some way to simply directly connect my laptop to my desktop and control it using my mouse/keyboard as if it were just a second desktop without doing any peripheral juggling or remote desktop things?

Transferring base ownership to new/alt character on the same account

I played a lot around launch and decided to come back recently since the game is becoming more fleshed out finally. I started a new character from scratch, which is on a server with a free transfer. I made a base for my new character with my main that I want to transfer ownership to on a different server.

From what I've looked into, there are only two methods for this:

  1. Abandon the base on my old character (which destroys the subfief console?), transfer it, then place my new character's subfief exactly on the spot the original was with the right rotation, etc, for the staking units
  2. Transfer my old character off the server WITHOUT abandoning anything first so my bases are automatically abandoned but have the subfief console intact, transfer the new character there, and go to the original console and claim the base, including the staking units

If what I've read is correct, option 2 is obviously the much easier and safer option, but I just want to double check if that's exactly how it works. If I transfer my old character off the server, the game will automatically abandon my base without destroying the subfief console, and the console can be claimed by anyone that uses it after that?
