So excited to have my Union Special 52900 BHZ finally operational!!

This machine was stored under not great circumstances for a few years and the humidity took a toll. It require an extensive disassembly and clean up. Most of the issues were with the table but even the head started to develop some rust.

After getting it back together it took another month to get it cutting and figure out why the spreader wasn’t working. I finally got it dialed in and now I can actually sit down at this beauty and do some real work!

Hi all, I have this Marvin Hermetic watch and I’m wondering if anyone has information on how it opens.

I do not see any obvious areas to pry off the back. My assumption is that it is a screw off back and is just VERY stuck or cross threaded. I’m thinking that I’ll need to use the socket trick but I’ve never done it before.

I’m very new to watch repair so any and all help and advice is greatly appreciated!
