FTB. We plan to buy a 2-bedroom flat on the outskirts of London with a budget of £200-250k. Every £ counts for us, so my question is how would you negotiate a price?

Mention flaws and throw a smaller number?

Ask openly whats the min price the seller would accept?

Drop ridiculous 10% off offer and try to find a middle ground?

Or maybe propose a few £k less as an offer at the end of the meeting with the agent?

Any tips are welcome!

We plan to buy with 10-12Y mortgage.

However, in case we would like to move abroad after 5Y. Does anyone know how easy/difficult it is to sell house with mortgage? Any hidden costs, problems?

We could transfer money and buy in the new country or maybe rent, but the latter is difficult to maintain from abroad...
