Has anyone tried journaling in a language they’re trying to actively learn? Did you find it helpful or creating any improvements with comprehension, etc?
How do you get past writing mistakes, not looking things up constantly?
I’m at an A2 level of French and am considering the idea of doing a journal entirely in French but I feel it may be time consuming to do look ups for translation every other sentence.
More notes from work and a few ramblings from day to day happenings.
It's hard to believe ive almost filled 20+ journals since i started in 2020 on a whim.
I didn't realize it took only a month to the date to finish this one.
+ some spreads from this journal. I think this was my 16/17th. I've stopped counting. Mostly about work and a trip to Newfoundland, CA. 🇨🇦
Had one of the strangest DoorDash experiences tonight.
The driver dropped two orders at my hotel room door. Neither bag had a name on it, so I opened both to figure out which one was actually mine. Once I found mine, I ate it and left the other bag sitting there, planning to throw it out later.
About 40 minutes later, the driver came back asking for the second order. I told him I didn’t think it was appropriate to deliver it anymore. It had been sitting in my hotel room for almost an hour, and I had already opened it to identify which order was mine. I said he should probably go back to the restaurant and have it remade because it didn’t seem sanitary for another customer to receive opened food.
He disagreed and said it was “better to deliver it.” He told me if the customer wanted a new meal, they could order another one.
I asked him if he was at least going to tell the customer that their order had been opened by someone else and had been sitting in a hotel room for like an hour before being delivered. He said, “Well, yeah.”
I gave him the order back because he wouldn’t leave otherwise, but I also reported the incident through the app and left a note in the sauces bag explaining why it had been opened.
Am I the only one who thinks delivering food that’s been opened and sitting in someone else’s room for 40 minutes is completely unacceptable?
Has this happened to anyone else? 😅
Happy to say I have achieved my life goal of becoming a naval officer! These are my two uniforms, regular dress and dress uniform in second photo. In my dress uniform the white sleeves of my buttoned shirt should not be showing. (Corrected after the photo was taken.)
Would love to have some artwork of the beginning of my career. Thank you. ⚓️
When I logged in, the game loaded an old Level 2 account. It then asked if I wanted to link my Facebook account, which had my actual Level 15 account. After I selected “Yes,” the game overwrote/merged the accounts incorrectly.
As a result, I lost my Level 15 progress, including my coins, cues, and other items.

I genuinely cannot figure this woman out. She is the ONLY person at work who is passive aggressive with the other junior females.
I’ll say hi walking past her and she says nothing. Or I’ll be standing right there, and she’ll ask one of the guys to tell me something instead of speaking to me herself.
I’ve tried making conversation and I’ve asked her about herself and her life, how things are going, just normal small talk. Surface levely coworker stuff.
She has never once asked me a single thing about myself. Not even one question or said ‘good morning’ first. It’s like talking to a brick wall that occasionally rolls its eyes and grows legs to walk away.
The confusing part is I genuinely don’t know what I did.
Talked about it to my other female coworker and she has no idea but it’s a running joke now. We haven’t argued with her and I’ve never been disrespectful to her. If anything, I’ve gone out of my way to be polite because I thought maybe she was just shy? Our only thought was that we asked for help from one of her close male friends but this girl is MARRIED. That can’t be it.
At this point I’ve stopped trying to figure it out because I’m convinced some people just decide they don’t like you at some point and then create an entire personality around it.
