Fifth sense discovery set
So I recently purchased a discovery set of new Indian fragrance house called Fifth Sense. It was actually advised by a redditor in one of my posts so I gave it a shot.
So the discovery set consists of their 4 perfumes- still here, the chosen one, the boyfriend shirt, the athlete in you. They all are extraits de parfum and the company claims 60% of their budget has been spent on the oils.
Coming to the review, I'd rank them based on my preference in descending order.
I loved the boyfriend shirt the most, followed by the athlete in you, still here was bad and the chose one was straight up hedache inducing.
The boyfriend shirt was fresh, floral and literally smelled like freshly washed laundary. Dry down gave that hint of amber and sandalwood. One thing which disappointed me the most was the longevity. It projected for 10 mins after which it hardly lasted on my skin for an hour and after that it just vanished.
The athlete in you smelled citrusy with hint of iris. Dry down was quite decent but it didnt smell unique. Even this hardly lasted for an hour on my skin.
Still here is too feminine for my taste. It strongly projects that saffron and rose notes with sandalwood and vanilla gives it a very sweet profile. Even this lasts merely an hour or so.
The chose one was straight up pungent. It had this strong tobacoo and oud notes combined with clove and pepper smells very bad. The base notes mentions vanilla and tonka beans but i dont smell any of these.
Overall fifth sense was a hit and a miss. Given that it costs 2k just for 50ml from a house which was launched not even a month back, is quite costly in my opinion. They have to improve their formula a lot. The current juice in thr bottle isn't upto the standards of perfumes available in the Indian market rn.
