Hell Mode season 2 and Jobless reincarnation season 3 are my latest examples. But this feels like it's been an issue that's only getting worse for over a year. POV has no issue scrapping episodes for the correct season when I try it there. I have limited my search to fall 2026 and it still fails to find any relevent torrents only embeds. Now All I get are a tone of results for Jack of Trades, Party of none and it shows up in almost every show. Am I missing some obvious setting that fixes this?

Edit A lot of my suggestions have been about trying different Meta APIs. I have three instances of Otaku up all using different API's now and I am scraping results for Episode 4 season 2 of Hell mode as my test. The results are identical between all three. So I tried experimenting with each provider. Nyaa Seems to be the source of all things Jack of all trades. Anime Tosho is completely useless as it gives me results like Kill Blue, GTO, lupin the 3rd movies Jobless reincarnation season 1. Girls Und Panzer. It's as if it's not even trying to find the result and just throwing the same set of random shows. Torrentio all checked gives no torrent results. Neko BT. is the most promising in that it gives me the correct show but it's all season 1 instead of season 2.

Changing META source had zero result changes but does break the Airing Last Season, Airing This Season and Airing Next Season menu items. Anilist is the only Meta provide that these seem to function with.

My next hypothesis is that the issue is with Otaku's Scraping of Torbox. I have wanted to avoid going back to real debrid and Torbox has been wonderful for everything except the odd show on Otaku. This particular season it seems exacerbated.

Is there a getting started guide anywhere? One of two things keeping me on windows with my VR PC is VR the other is HDMI 2.1. But Windows is being enough of a headache to the point that I am strongly considering. Last time I tried Bazzite but it wasn't "Just ready out of the box and HDMI got even worse suddenly so I went back.

Is there a preferred flavor of Linux that has most of the bells and whistles needed for VR? I am using an Index. My PC is primarily an HTPC.

When I first bought this tv I was excited because it worked Bazzite through freesync. I thought I would give bazzite another try to see if HDMI 2.1 has been figured out and today I discover half of my resolutions and framerates missing along with my ugreen adapter no longer giving me any extra options. Do I need to install a special version to even have the full HDMI 2.0 I had before?

I saw a post some time ago about some using their steamdeck to emulate the gamepad. I unfortunately have lost mine in between moving to a new house and my honeymoon. I want to buy something cheap but functional for this exact use case. Especially with young kids durability, replacability and or repairability are key.

TLDR for anyone having the playback and source select failing issue. Go to settings > Sort and Filter> Sort Sourcing > Source Type Chance it to both or Sub. Dub is broken. For the devs see my journey of discovery below if it helps with fixing the issue.

I first noticed this issue 4 days ago when I made this post. About the latest episode of Ascendence of a Bookworm. I suddenly couldn't get sources to load for. Then I noticed other shows having the same issue. It seemed to be the newest weekly show. I did see an alert after updating that forced me to suddenly go into the setup wizard. I tried to back out because it seems ot break everything when I use it and I have finally found the signular point at which that happens.

The very last question states. "Please Choose your preferred playback Language, Sub or Dub no both option" In most cases if a dub is an option I will prefer to hear that first. But I still do enjoy subs. So I would expect it to show sources with dubs first and everything else after that. What it seems to do instead is completely break the playback and source selecting processes.

If I go through the normal line of questions on the set up wizard and I tell it that I prefer dubs it entirely removes sources that seem to contain any subs and for some reason all embeds. If this is a bug please fix it if this by design please add more flexibility for people like me that can watch either dub or sub and enjoy the show in the set up wizard. Also it should include sources that have the dub not exclude all sources that contain anything besides it.

It even implies my use case as you get more questions after you select dub. Would you like subtitles for dub streams. (yes I would I want the signs and songs) saying no ends the line of questions playback and source select still break. Saying Yes we get less potential Results in the loading screen but then the source select never comes.

Going into settings it is pretty easy as well to isolate the variable. In the sort and filter settings page. Setting Source Sorting to Sub or Both allows results to populate but setting it to dub kills the source select and playback processes even on shows with a dub like Kanan is Devilishly Easy Episode 4.

I have noticed some potential issues after checking the source sites.

• Otaku lists the show as Season 1 instead of 4
• So there are lots of results for season 4 ep 5 or episode 39
• I do see lots of results from the incorrect season in the first few episodes.

I have tried changing my Meta source to MAL, Anilist and Otaku the behavior is the same. Other Shows Like Iruma Kun Do show as Season 4 and show episodes no problem.

Is there something I can do to make this work properly?

The issue also happens with the correctly labeled Season 2 of Farming Life in Another world.

I have a fresh no customizations install of Otaku Testing it also fails. I tried it on another device and it also fails.
