Máte to někdo podobně? Jak tohle vůbec řešit?

WIBTAH if I wasn’t nice anymore?

Hello everyone.

So me and my partner have been together for over two years now. We’re very much in love and we say and act so. We do the little things for each other, all the good stuff. But every once in a while when he comes home from work he’s like a completely diferent person and is really mean to me for whatever reason he can think of at that moment and for the rest of the night he doesn’t speak to me. Usually he winds off, drinks some wine and after couple hours comes to me with an apology. Sometimes it lasts to the next day.
I understand his day could’ve been frustrating and I want to be there for him or not if he needs some alone time. But him acting like I did something wrong and apologizong later every time really wears me down over time. I’ve tried to communicate and approach these situations differently, either keeping distance or trying to talk to him, but always staying calm, both lead to apology down the line. Which I accept.

WIBTAH if I wasn’t nice in these situations anymore? I’m not a conflict person I really care about him and our relationship and don’t want to bring unecesary drama when I know he will apologise later. But maybe not taking it anymore might help him realize this is not ok to bash out on me for nothing?

AITAH for leaving the gate open?

Hi!
So I moved in with my partner around two years ago to a house with work in progress. Now at a point when most is done he wants me to keep the gate closed so people don’t see inside and we don’t get robbed. We live in a very safe place and I know I’m generally less suspicious and more ignorant of potential dangers than he is and I don’t want to make him feel uncomfortable but because the gate isn’t power operated yet it’s a lengthy proces to open it, drive the car outside and close it again and sometimes I forget to do it when in a hurry.

Today workers screwed up some things around the house and he had to talk to them to fix it. Stressful.
After that he told me he’s a bit angry about the opened gate yesterday and I replied with:”I’m sorry but this is a safe area, have anybody been ever robbed around here ever? No need to worry.” To which he got angry and left for work. Later I texted an apology acknowledging my remarks were not in place and that I’ll be careful to close it in the future every time but it wasn’t appreciated.

I’m now very nervous about this whole situation. I feel like he’s overreacting but at the same time I know the security thing is his pet peeve and I messed up. AITAH for leaving the gate opened sometimes?
