Google refuses to let me search on anything related to drugs on Reddit so here I am. Does anyone else find that after they dose and get a little energy if they eat a fatty meal about an hour and a half later you get a pretty strong nod?
This has happened for me a bunch and i want to know why it would only happen about 1.5 hours after consumption?

I’ve been doing a Georgia run and I think it perfectly encapsulates how to play EU5.
You start with an event to ally Egypt providing early game protection. You have vassals on uncontrollable land. You will have a weaker army compared to the power nations around you so you have to pick battles on favorable mountain terrain and leverage allies.
You have great RGOs near the capital and some gold/silver RGOs to work toward.
Every expansion opportunity you have will have wrong religion and wrong culture so you have to learn how to core. Also, due to mountain terrain debuffs you have to figure out how to get more control without just coring lands.
Being on the Silk Road allows you to build a crazy trade network if you expand toward Persian gulf.
Finally as Timoruds, Russia, and Ottomans all expand toward you, you have to learn how to outplay bigger armies and play diplomacy right.
Overall, I think it’s one of the best campaigns to learn the game and recommend giving it try.
What mods are you using in 1.3 to enhance the game?
I’ve really enjoyed the base game state right now and really have only been using GLORP UI and Faster Universalis. If you haven’t used faster Universalis yet I would highly recommend. You can get through a full game in about 3 afternoons with it.
Would love to hear any flavor mods/expanded situations that I’ve missed.
It’s unfortunate that Ethiopia doesn’t have a ton of flavor (and didn’t really have a lot in EU4 IMO), but I think it’s one of the most interesting spots to start in the game outside of Europe. Out of all of the countries with a lot of alternate history possibilities I think it’s one of the best as well.
A consolidated Ethiopian empire that’s friendly to Europe and breaks the ottomans in Egypt, opening up east - west trade routes provides a meaningful change to the rest of the game.
Just had a great run as duchess with wylder and undertaker. I haven’t made it to D5 yet but got bumped to a mystery boss d5 run and it was ED balancers. Only died once and clutched up with duchess ult at the end. Felt amazing. I love this game.
Water does not count as your drink, but you can still have it. So one additional drink.
One meal equates to a main dish with 2-3 sides. No “I wish for a giant buffet with everything ever”. The mythical being knows when it’s being cheated and will touch you.
A single dessert. Again can be elaborate but no 1 billion dessert.
Miscellaneous Rules: all your nutritional needs will be met. It’ll always feel like a normal meal. You will not die from lack of nutrition. You will die if you don’t eat. You can only gain or lose weight from eating more or less food. But if you want more protein or fat or carbs, then you can shave your head to respect the macros of your food once per year.
What could you stomach for the rest of your life?
Currently about to start a new campaign and looking for additional mods that make the flavor better or campaign more interesting. Mods like gathering the land of rus / rise of Prussia etc.
Why are there no opium wars? Why is alcoholism not a bigger malus to society? Why are coffee and tobacco not contributing to my culture? Where are my mushroom filled epiphanies in Eastern Europe?
I should be able to force my population to get addicted to drugs for more profit. Complacency rising? More drug used! Instability? More drug use. When I colonize I should be able to make lucrative deals for my ales and wines.
Please give me a drug update paradox.
