Where do you guys do your grocery shopping?

I know most of you are guys are going to recommend HEB but it’s too far for me and I don’t have a car

Rn I’m looking at Walmart, Food King, and Amigos

Of course if you guys buy at other places you’re welcome to recommend them.

I’m kind of liking Amigos though because they have a bakery (Mexican pastries) and I can buy meat by the pound

From Houston to Lubbock

I’m transferring to TTU this fall semester and my apartment lease starts on August 15th. Hoping to get a ride from anyone (but preferably a female, I am 23F) who’s also moving on that day and get to Lubbock before 5pm.

Of course I’ll contribute to gas money and I can even drive part of the route.

And if you’re willing, helping me transport my boxes from the storage unit I have them at to the apartments I’m renting. 😬😅

Should I rent a car through Chase Travel?

I was in the process of renting a car with enterprise when I learned that they accept credit card only at the location I’m renting at (airport location) So I went and got myself one at my local chase branch, the Freedom Unlimited.

The lady that helped me was super helpful and explained the main benefits and answered all my questions, which included chase travel.

I’ve done research since then and saw some posts that don’t really recommend it but others do and I guess I wanted some… confirmation or something that I should rent through chase according to my circumstances.

Renting through chase is $22 more per day, however it will give me close to 32k points, which I’m to understand is about $250

Also, if I don’t get the damage waiver from enterprise, I’ll qualify for the complimentary auto rental coverage. Which would save me $40 per day.

I’m still planning on getting the supplemental liability protection, personal effects coverage, and roadside protection from enterprise and want to make sure this won’t mess with me qualifying for the auto rental coverage.

I’m not flying so no chance of a flight delay that would make me a no show, no chance of cancelling cause this trip is mandatory.

Is there any reason I shouldn’t rent through chase?

Truck Rentals in Storage Units

Hi everyone, I’m moving to Lubbock in a few months but am visiting ahead of time and looking for storage units to store some things.

Devon Self Storage and Discount Storage (North Frankford Location) are my top picks but I’d need to rent a small moving truck (not at the time of move in) so if anyone knows what their prices are then please let me know.

Affordable Storage (Loop 289 & Ultica) is another one I’m looking at and I’m kind of iffy about but it’s also in the most convenient location so if anyone rents here I’d like your experience and opinions on it
