21M, Very Very Confused about career.

Hi everyone,

DOB - 23092004

I am a B.Tech Computer Engineering graduate (Class of 2026), and I'm feeling quite confused about my career path.

Throughout college, I was actively involved in various student clubs and leadership roles, and I also received two software copyrights for projects. However, despite these achievements, I don't feel genuinely interested in pursuing a career in core software engineering or the traditional tech industry.

At the moment, I'm considering two major paths:

Preparing for government jobs, especially administrative or officer-level positions.

Pursuing a master's degree, either in India or abroad.

Part of me feels I should first focus on government exams and, if things don't work out, then consider a master's.

On the other hand, I'm worried that delaying higher studies might not be the best decision.

I'm also struggling with a bigger question: Should I build my career around my engineering degree simply because that's what I studied, or is it perfectly reasonable to move toward government services if that aligns more with my interests?
