What’s with the AI slop in Malaysia?

AI fatigue is real. I can’t stand seeing businesses and people online using generative AI for literally every single thing. It’s literally so draining to come across these low-effort and meaningless AI slop.

One thing in particular that I can’t stand are the AI songs/song covers. Like the god damn digi digi song or whatever nonsense. I notice that it’s usually the old folks using those songs on TikTok or other platforms.

And don’t get me started with RTM’s excessive use of AI for like almost all of their campaigns or like their TV1 fillers.

Seriously, someone needs to educate the country on how to use AI mindfully.

Do you guys feel there’s too many PRCs around?

Happy belated national day, first off.

Nowadays, I can’t help but feel as if I’m a tourist in my own country. Even in the heartlands, I feel as if there are enclaves of their community. Honestly, it’s not a problem if they assimilate well into our society, but I feel that they don’t even bother trying.

My opinion is that they don’t feel the need to adapt or assimilate because they have their whole culture here. There’s Chinese food chains and brands here and they have their own community here.

As a brown-skin person myself, I also encountered some weird looks from them. Few times where I was sitting in the MRT and some of them would sit on the edge, just to sit back fully when I left the train. Also not to mention the fact that they expect everyone to be fluent in Mandarin.

Also, I’m seeing how some of them can attain citizenship faster than some people who have lived longer in Singapore or even served NS.

Is the government doing anything about this or do they only care about their KPI and maintaining the CMIO status quo by importing more and more migrants? Help la I know the TFR is super bad but this is also not good for the people of the country.

Edit: spelling.

Anyone had experience at 24/7 Choa Chu Kang (Keat Hong CC)

Previously was a GymmBoxx.

I’m looking to sign up and i’ve read their google reviews. Apparently there’s this bald malay staff who likes to find fault with customers during their session. Is that true?

Also, how crowded does it get and is it spacious?

Considering AF Teck Whye and also other gyms near the CCK area.
