Flock furor: Police cameras in New Bedford and South Coast
The policy and internal use agreement also dictates that officers “memorialize” their search “by a case number, call for service, or report number” in the “search reason” field. But in 2025, officers were frequently entering only “investigation” or abbreviations of it: “invest,” “inv” and “inves.”
Other reasons entered in 2025 include “Emily said to,” “Cuba,” “I” (or a lowercase l), “ATF Invest,” “DEA Invest,” “erratic,” “unauthorized use,” “suss white volvo,” “hot,” “Incestigation,” “rocks,” and “Social Media Inquiry.”
Has anyone ever seen message that "This URL has been excluded from the Wayback Machine" ?
Hello, I use WayBack quite regularly but for the first time today received the following result after entering a URL from a public website (no paywalls).
"Sorry.
This URL has been excluded from the Wayback Machine."
Has anyone ever seen this? What allows this? Can the URL owner request that its website not be saved?
Thanks in advance for any help!
Any advice for repair? getting eloped in three days and they just broke!
Hello, I'm getting married in a few days at City Hall. My favorite pair of earrings for special occasions just broke (the post just broke off of one). Are there any tips for quick or temporary fixes? i.e. superglue a new post in? Thanks for any help!

Journalist looking to pivot
I'm a reporter who is open to pivoting in order to find work as I relocate back to New York. (You may or may not have seen headlines in recent years of the constant layoffs hitting newsrooms nationally.) I've honed a lot of skills as a reporter (records requests, fighting for records/appeals, FOIA, research, following court cases, etc.) that I think would transfer well to an organization that does legal work to support journalists and the First Amendment more broadly.
I'm not at a point in my life where I'd want to go to law school, but wondering if getting a certificate as a paralegal would be worth it.
Does anyone in this thread work in media law and have thoughts they can share?
Thanks!
Been waking up with bites but also getting them during day when I’m on couch or bed. Just found this on the floor.
I’ve read the beetles don’t actually bite but that their larvae can irritate skin and create welts that look like bites. I do believe I’ve seen larvae casings in the past without realizing what they were.
(Pictured is mattress in plastic bag as I’m about to toss it.)
If it is a carpet beetle, pet friendly advice for how to handle greatly appreciated.
