When you meet your best friend after years and realize they’ve changed

Sometimes there comes a moment when you meet your best friend after a long time apart, and you realize something has changed. They’re not the same person you once knew.

You start noticing that they’ve changed after spending time with different people. The simplicity they once had is gone. There’s ego now, a bit of attitude too. Conversations feel different. The comfort you once had with them slowly fades.

Before, they were someone who understood you, maybe even a little introverted like you. Things felt natural, equal, and easy. But now it feels like they’re trying to dominate every conversation, as if they always have to prove something.

And the strange part is, they might not even realize how much they’ve changed. But you can feel it clearly. The friendship that once felt pure now feels distant and unfamiliar.

And the hardest part is… you don’t even know how to handle it anymore, because the friend you once knew feels like a completely different person now...

Why does healing feel okay all day but break at night?

Sitting here at 2am…

‎listening to "Tu Na Jaane Aas Paas Hai Khuda…"

‎and idk why but everything just feels heavier rn.

‎Like… you try to act normal the whole day,

‎stay busy, distract yourself…

‎but at night?

‎it all comes back

‎The overthinking…

‎the attachments…

‎the memories you never asked for…

‎It’s like you’re stuck in this weird phase

‎where you can’t fully let go…

‎but staying hurts too

‎You start realizing

‎you were giving way more than you should’ve…

‎and now you’re the only one feeling it.

‎And it’s not even anger…

‎it’s just this quiet kind of pain.

‎The type where you don’t even wanna talk to anyone…

‎but you don’t feel okay either.

‎Lowkey feels like I’m losing myself a bit

‎trying to hold on to something that was never mine.. 💔

‎Anyone else been through this phase?

‎Like how do you actually detach…

‎without feeling empty af inside?

‎Any advice would help fr...
